I am using "The Woman in the Window" by A.J. Finn for this prompt. The book is about a woman who suffers from severe agoraphobia so she is unable to leave her house. One day she sees something she shouldn't have and it sets off a chain of events with the protagonist doubting her own sanity. Although she does interact with other people throughout the book she spends a lot of time online keeping tabs on other through social media and online platforms.
I read 'American Royals' by Katharine McGee, and it was AMAZING! It involves social media through the royals mentioning having secret accounts or keeping up with tabloids and such.
Tweet Cute by Emma Lord is about two businesses in NYC having a Twitter war. This is very much about social media. One By One by Ruth Ware is about a music app where you can listen to what others are listening to. I’d consider that social media as well since you follow and get followed by others.
I personally used Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig which is a non-fiction book in which Matt talks A LOT about social media and the impact it has on people and their mental health.
Swipe Right by Alicia Rai is about a dating app. That would definitely count.
Eliza and her Monsters by Alice Oseman (Alice is also an author in her 20’s) is about a web comic and it’s creators/followers.
A couple I haven’t read but believe are about social media are:
Follow Me by Kathleen Barber. I believe this is a thriller.
Followers by Megan Angelo
An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green
Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger
The Hove by BarryLyga & Morgan Baden
Hope this helps!!
