I agreed with what you said about some of the illustrations. I was surprised because this illustrator is supposed to be the bomb. I wasn't sure if it was ME not knowing enough about history or if truly all those characters looked alike!

As far as the quality of the illustrations, I was disappointed after reading Ethan Hawke’s background on the creation of Indeh. The characters looked way too similar. The story itself was great and I enjoyed it. I almost wish this had been a novel instead of a graphic novel. It needed more detail. There was far too much in that history to be reduced to some speech bubbles and pencil drawings.
