Why is it in moans and groans?

Because it's an easy wager that some of them we like will make the others groan and possibly feel a desire to fling fecund fruit in the general direction of.

One of my personal favorites:
"General catassery" or simply "catassery," which is a step above (below?) asshattery.

I would say a step above because it's more humorous.

I like ". . . went tits up" and "cratered" for "failed."

"Rogued." I love that expression.

"Cratered" . . . love it! Consider it rogued. :D

"A stones throw as the crow flies."

Which roughly translates: "Do I have a GPS implanted in my ass?"

I've discovered that most people's sense of direction is more like "as the buzzard flies."
