Alison | 2 comments The new Street Smart series of short fiction from Frayed Edge Press has its first three numbers out, and all have anarchist-related characters and themes. While this is not specifically an "anarchist" series, coincidentally all three of the first numbers have this aspect to them -- and they can be bought as a set at a discount price.

For more information, see: Street Smart Series

Eukaryotic Menace | 2 comments If people are looking for short anarchist fiction, there is this amazing freely available podcast called "We Will Remember Freedom" that showcases a whole bunch of anarchist fiction writers https://www.wewillrememberfreedom.com/

My favorite story so far is Pelecanimimus and the Battle for Mosquito Ridge by Izzy Wasserstein because anti-fascist dinosaurs is not something I thought I needed in my life, but I did.

Alan Moore | 14 comments Not fiction, but real -- a Scottish anarchist in service of Barcelona anarchists -- (I'm assuming these are e-books, and they're available in print, but Christie's description is good)
“¡PISTOLEROS! 1:1918 – The Chronicles of Farquhar McHarg”
two volumes -- both too short!
Raymor Ryan, also not fiction -- "Clandestines: The Pirate Journals of an Irish Exile. AK Press, 2006"
this is also good, altho too short -- "The Anarchist Expropriators: Buenaventura Durruti and Argentina's Working-Class Robin Hoods" by Osvaldo Bayer, Paul Sharkey (Translation)
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
early adventures of the beloved Durutti....
and actual fiction
Cory Doctorow, "Pirate Cinema" was pretty good (bit of a "Vendetta" imitation, but characters quite good)...
"Walkaway" was somewhat turgid and disappointing, but it's a long read, and better than the tripe I've got for leisure now!
saludos,
