Can we possibly add this to the list? It's a new release... Welcome to City-State! I would like to nominate The Dystopian Nation of City-State: An Anthology - Origin, Corruption, and Rebellion.
Since this is a collection, it is a great read in that everyone can pinpoint a different story as their favorite. This anthology is a precursor to an upcoming trilogy set.

The Infinite Sea, by Rick Yancey. The first book (The 5th Wave) was so awesome and I just can't wait to read this second book, and this will be the best excuse for me to go and get it! Rick Yancey is a master storyteller.
