Rochelle, in a way of speaking, is somewhat attractive. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and all, but he thinks he's a pretty solid six, if not a seven. He thinks it's probably because of his mother, who was a pretty lady in her prime. However, he's a little bitter about all the moles on his body. He could play connect the dots with them all, if he had the time and flexibility. He's also not a big fan of the way his voice gets shrill and girly when he's stressed out, though it sounds a bit above the tenor range anyways.

He's not the kind of guy, physically anyways, that does well with tactile sports. He's slim, but not lanky, and lacks muscle he so much desires. Instead, he is stuck with being the kind of guy that's easily pushed over. It's not always a bad thing, from his experience, but neither is it a good thing. He's trying to figure out a good balance between everything. That, and whether he should plaster his skin with tattoos.

Rochelle has a habit of opening his mouth, and rarely ever shutting it. While he certainly has a lot to say on most matters, they just so happen to lead to other things, and tangents are the usual result of it all. It gets to the point that half of what he's saying makes little to no sense whatsoever. However, when he does manage to control his words, he can be a sarcastic little shit. Ahem, teenager. His sarcasm can be master class, but he usually loses its effect in his lengthy moments of speech. Of course, he knows this, and that usually makes it easier to deliver a killer line. He sometimes does this on purpose, when he realizes that he's probably offended the person.

Being clever is something that Rochelle has happened to develop over the years. Most people think that there's this innate sort of cleverness that everyone has, but that might not be entirely true. Rochelle just happens to be exceptionally clever, which is what has gotten him so far. He admits that this sets him apart from people, and tends to leave him off on his own. He'll brush it off and say that it's nothing, but it's something. Not something that can just sit in the corner of his mind forever. That sarcastic bite of his had to start somewhere, and it's from that lonely part of himself he tries his best to ignore.

Clumsy is a gross understatement in terms of his coordination. Yeah, he can certainly hit a target, but walking is a dangerous game. He thinks the only reason he's still alive is simply him being blessed, because honestly, he's sure he'd take himself out. Sports are definitely out of the question, which he learned the hard way in middle school.

[ i ] infancy

Rochelle's mother wasn't exactly ready to have him. She had simply wanted to live out her days in peace, divorced from her cheating husband and getting her life back on track. Merille Lebanen wasn't exactly the most stable woman, to start. She was taking medication for several mental...kinks that she was just barely keeping in check. It was a regularly scheduled visit that alerted her to the fetus inside her, growing.

She considered having an abortion. It seemed like a good idea, and she felt that she wouldn't be ready. She wasn't sure she'd ever be ready to mother a child, not in her state. She didn't trust herself with that responsibility, and soon, neither did her ex-husband. David came back into her life shortly after she'd found out she was pregnant with his child. It wasn't something that they should quickly dismiss, no matter how much they argued over it.

In the end, when she decided to carry the child, he left again. She supposed it was for the best, but being a single mother was going to be hard. It also meant that she would be off her medication, and there was no telling what she would do then. Merille sought advise from her doctors, but found nothing that she quite liked. The idea of giving up the child for adoption sent her reeling, not being able to be with the life she'd grown within her. She detested it, and forewent that idea.

She moved in with her mother, who had warned her many times before. The old woman had seen it coming, this event. She'd also been sure that her daughter would likely kill herself if she was left alone with a small child. Rae Lebanen took her daughter back in and saw her to her final month, when her child was born.

Rochelle wasn't some miracle, not at all. He was too small, and fussy. He was told the story many times, of how unbearable he was as a child, because he was actually just that. His mother was in a real state, overworked and tired from her medicines. Then, one day, she just stopped taking them. Her moods worsened, and she was slightly more suicidal than she'd been before. She was kept on watch after she attempted to kill herself six months after Rochelle was born.

In the ninth month after his birth, she succeeded in finding peace. Rae found her holding a wailing Rochelle as she bled out on the bed, expression light. She could have been asleep, if not for the blood stains on the covers that were growing by the second. The one thing about her death that no one ever told Rochelle was that he was in her arms, wrapped up for sleep. People suspected that she had wanted to kill him as well, but couldn't work up the nerve to do it.

He was handed over to his grandmother for care, much to the sudden dismay of his father. The man who had not been in his life for such a time decided to step in, to wash away the filth that he believed Merille had involved him in. David took Rae to trial, but ultimately failed to retrieve his child. He was given visitation rights that he wouldn't use until Rochelle turned ten.

[ ii ] adolescence

By the time he was six, he'd grown used to the old fashioned views of his grandmother. She'd been a woman who wanted to travel, which she had done in her old age. Now, she was taking him along with her. She wanted to experience the world, like his own "Grand Tour". That is, until she fell ill.

The elderly woman had not wanted to have her grandson on his own, and thus requested that he be the one to take care of her in their apartment in London. Nurses and doctors rushed in and out, and one day his father David arrived. David, being the kind of man that he was, had been waiting for the day that he would be able to take Rochelle away. He was, after all, the father of the boy. He was only ten at the time, but he suspected that this was more for his father's benefit than anything else.

The man had made it clear that he didn't want anything to do with Rochelle in the years he'd ignored the boy's existence. He suspected it had to do with his inheritance, though he wasn't sure or cared how much he got because what ten year old wanted their grandmother to die? Certainly not the knobby kid that had lost his mother before he could really remember things.

Rae decided that she'd have Rochelle enrolled in school, much to his dismay. He stayed there, simply because he thought she was dying. Which, in fact, she was not. She recovered soon after, but was told to avoid the travelling that she loved so much, and Rochelle was forced to stay in school in England. When he turned twelve, however, things dipped.

[ iii ] teenage years

David came back with a vengeance, determined to get the fortune his child would inherit. He came at Rae with lawyers and doctors, finding any sort of claim that would force her to give Rochelle up to him. This just only made it more clear how unworthy he was in Rae's eyes. She fought him with just as good lawyers, psychologists of the greatest acclaims. She held back no expense.

The court dates and battles took a toll on Rochelle. He wasn't just the odd kid that knew the weird things of the world, but the kid who didn't know where he'd end up. He could have a silver spoon shoved into his mouth when Rae died, or lose it all when David took him in. That's a serious thing for a fifteen year old to think about, let alone have had gone through it for three years already.

resilience in these matters. Others of his age might have cracked under it all, but he didn't. He only looked forward to the end of it all, because it had to end at some point.

But, it didn't end until Rae was dead a year later, far too exhausted to continue the fight. At sixteen, Rochelle wouldn't get anything until his eighteenth birthday, but he didn't care. He didn't want to stay with his father, or the man who would be. He didn't like his girlfriend either, years younger than him and reeking of alcohol almost every time he saw her. He wondered if it was her perfume, or if she really was just a drunk.

So, he ran and didn't bother looking back.

Meet Chess, a girl with a determined mind and let's nothing stand in her way. She is also pretty hard headed and doesn't give in easily, somtimes not even at all. Although she is very strong minded, she is also a nice person and if you look beneath her shell, she has a lot going on and you would want to her ever second of what she has to say.

She was born already starting to follow her dreams. At least that is what her parents told. At the age four, she started to dance like a pro. At the age of eight, she started to play the guitar and the piano. At thirteen, she already knew how to play seven different instruments and she was taking advanced courses. She was pretty popular except with the plastics, or that's what the school called them. Her life was pretty normal except the fact that she had multiple talents. Then one day she got a call from her cousin Mac saying that they were going to Europe. She was so excited. It took a while to convice her mother though but finally she was allowed. Little did they know thought that there were a large amount of ghosts at the hotel they were staying at.

Matt was born into a once happy family. He had an older brother that liked him, and parents that simply adored him. All of that changed when his father lost his job and he started to drink. He would come home from a bar and beat Matt's mother and brother in front of him, then when he was old enough his father beat him as well. It was a awful experience, making Matt know nothing but hate and violence. When his brother had had enough he ran away leaving Matt and his mother to fend for themselves.

At the age of six, Matt came across a dance school and walked in, his interest had been peeked. But he was panicking slightly- so many people.... He then discovered that the dance school had a boarding house. He managed to sneak in but was soon discovered by one of the teachers who took pity on him as she saw the bruises covering his body. But she denied his please and sent him home where he got hit on the head for being late. But not all was bad, Matt had his grandmother who loved him no matter what.

Axel is known to be a rather humorous person. Instead of facing the reality of most situations he covers up his feelings with jokes and funny smiles. At times he may slip into a more so depressive state, but no one’s aware of this ‘cause in those moments he’s always alone. This can last for a day, or up to a week. Axel was raised in the Catcylst manor. Though it’s been used as a hotel since 1984 his mother was friends with the family that used to run and own the land. So a favor was called in after she finally managed to leave her drunk and abusive husband, a person he does not wish to speak of, on any occasion. All his life Axel has been setting himself up to be better than his father ever was, and respect women in the way that they should be respected. Being raised in the mansion since the age of seven he’s noticed a few odd things… though at his young curious age his mother disputed all of his questions, claiming it was something that was simply all in his head.

His childhood was surprisingly normal and it was only when he entered high school that things began to change. For the better that is. He found his first girlfriend Caroline. She was sweet, understanding, and everything he needed for her to be. They spent hours upon hours with each other, but the day she visited the mansion was the day she began to change. It was his junior year and his mother was on a business trip, and being a guy who was in love he wanted to spend all of the time he could possibly have with his girlfriend. Surprisingly though, on the first night she said she had to return home, and that she couldn’t sleep over. Axel wondered why she looked so spooked but sent his girlfriend off with a goodnight kiss; thinking nothing more of it. The next day she returned with a smile, but upon entering the manor, once more, it slowly began to fade away into nothing. That night he convinced her to stay the night, and that very same morning he- and a bunch of other residents- found her broken body crumpled on the cement by the main entrance. Devastated he began to draw within himself. What he was unaware of was the fact that Caroline was indeed a medium, and she was unable to handle the ghost around her, and even in the few days she was near them they drove her so mad that the only way out appeared to be death.

From then on Axel has managed to stay away from girls. He always thought there was something suspicious going on in the manor, but nothing so tragic that would lead to his own girlfriends death. For his own good, and for those around him he spent most of his time by himself, and didn’t dare to invite a single soul over to the manor. Going off to college he decided to start fresh. He had a few girlfriends, but none he felt much of a connection with. During summer breaks he’d vacation at his friends beach house, reluctant to return home, even with his mother constantly asking him when he’d visit. The few times he has returned to the town he’s stayed at the hotel a few blocks away from the Catacylst, and he only ever managed to stay for Christmas. Finally getting his degree in psychology he’s decided to stay for the summer at the manor, though he’s still hesitant about it. Even having just returned he feels a whisper of the past, and at times has hallucinations about Caroline; it’s highly doubtable he’ll be staying for long.

History:
Elizabeth was born in Lancashire, England, in her lovely country manor. She had a near-perfect upbringing. A protective brother, a sweet mother, and a father who despite his increasingly busy life always made time for his family. She wanted for nothing, and appreciated everything. She loved the land, the people, everything.

When she was fourteen years old, her parents were mysteriously killed in a house fire in Scotland. The story said they'd been in a random house in the street when it had caught on fire. Why they'd ever been there, Elizabeth would never know.

Her auntie, Aunt Ferris, came to help care for her and her brother, but the moment Elizabeth turned 18, her aunt made it very clear she was no longer welcome in her home. Of course, the entire estate and all the wealth had been left to Adrian, but they'd resolved to throw the woman out at a later date, freezing any money she'd been stealing from them in their bank whilst they went to America to study more, studying being something they were both particularly good at. Adrian was working now, in the heart of the city, and she was still deciding what she wanted to do - so she stayed at Cataclyst Manor, and decided to remain there until further notice. She loved stately homes back in England, and this seemed similarly glorious.

As more time passed he organized an event to give a stranger a letter of hope. He picked a random store with his friends and started handing out the letters of hope. His parents were so proud of who he became. He was growing up to become a handsome and kind young man. Everything his parents ever wanted. He even touched the heart of one man. |Chapter One: Alone|
May 29th, 1998, Aurora was born on Tahiti Island. It was actually a fluke. She wasn't supposed to be born for another three months. Her mother was cooking dinner when all of a sudden she felt sharp pains. She ignored them but soon, they became more frequent. Then, her water broke. She was going to give birth to her. She called her neighbor calmly and said to her that she needed her to come over. Her neighbor came and was almost panicking. "Oh my dear! Oh my dear! Dear oh mighty!" She kept saying. "It is okay Maria. Please just get my husband." Maria nodded and called him immediately. As fast as she called, he was there. At exactly noon, she had given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Finally, he took her to the hospital. It was a miracle that An's father was an on call doctor. For the next four years, An had a great life. But her parents went on a trip and never came back. They had died in a car accident. On that day, An never spoke again. No one knows how she lost it. Some say she is selectively mute. But no one knows.
