Defining Moments in Black History: Reading Between the Lies by Dick Gregory 3 stars
I was not familiar Dick Gregory, perhaps because his popularity and notoriety seemed to peak well before I was born. That does mean he had a front row seat to moments in civil rights history. This book is like having Gregory as a weird old uncle telling stories at a family holiday. Some of those stories are fascinating, some I've heard before, some sound quite crazy. It's probably best to take this book in short bits, but it's a decent read.
