W No surprise that the Pakistan team is in such a bad position in the Brisbane Test.Tours of Australia have always been tough.Looks like they will lose both Tests, something that has repeatedly happened on earlier tours of Australia.

W Lost the first Test by an innings, the second should be a formality as well.On the last four tours of Australia, the Pakistan team has lost every single Test.Including this last one, that makes 13 in a row !

Saad Din | 20 comments well I am hoping against the hope that Adelaide might be a different story, wicket is less bouncy and perhaps some appropriate team changes will bear some fruit, to me the best performance by a Pakistani team in Australia was was back in 76/77 series when we drew 1-1 against best Australian side our batting and bowling won us Sydney test and came closer of winning the Adelaide too

message 4: by W (new)

W Yes,hoping against hope is the right word. The good thing is,it is only two tests, and not three.

message 5: by W (new)

W Also,in 1979,81,and 95,Pakistan won a test in each series. But since 1999,they have lost every single test in Australia, not even drawn a single one.

message 6: by Saad (new)

Saad Din | 20 comments in 79 Aussi side was a depleted side in 81 and 95 we lost the series

message 7: by W (new)

W But in 79,Pak would still have lost both tests,if Sarfraz had not produced that spell. In 81,and 95,at least the white wash was avoided,by winning a test each.

message 8: by W (new)

W That was a remarkable spell,by Sarfraz Nawaz.Seven wickets, for one run,to win the Melbourne test of 1979.But his team mates have acknowledged later, that he may have tampered with the ball.

message 9: by Saad (new)

Saad Din | 20 comments yes definatly it was the case of tapmering that is why the team that toured Aus/WI in 77 was considered as "ONCE UPON A TEAM"

message 10: by W (last edited Nov 25, 2019 07:12AM) (new)

W It was nearly the same team, which nearly lost both tests,to Australia in 1979,and later in the year, lost to India,in India. The element of unpredictability, was always there.

message 11: by Saad (new)

Saad Din | 20 comments yes but its the form that counts. in 77 Majid, Asif, Zaheer were in their prime while Imran,Miandad Haroon Rashid and sikander Bkht were the up coming talent, so its not the name but the form of those which made that dream team

message 12: by W (new)

W If they lose the next Test as well, that will be a new,and unwanted, world record for most consecutive losses in one country,14.They have already equalled Bangladesh's existing record of 13,which they set in their own country.

message 13: by W (new)

W Second Test,Australia piles on 589.Glad I don't watch cricket on TV anymore, just a look at the score is enough.

message 14: by W (new)

W If not for the declaration,David Warner could have gone past Brian Lara's world record of 400,at the expense of these Pakistan bowlers.

message 15: by W (last edited Dec 02, 2019 05:31AM) (new)

W No surprises, too easy for Australia.Pakistan have set a new world record of 14 straight defeats in Australia !
Ian Chappell said this before, and now Ramiz Raja says it too,Pakistan should stop touring Australia,if they are to lose every single match.

message 16: by W (new)

W Tour of England,2020.No suprises,a winning position thrown away in the first Test.On the way to a sound thrashing in the third Test.

message 17: by W (new)

W Tour of New Zealand, again a Test match lost abroad. No surprise, the Pakistan team is no longer competitive abroad,as the results clearly demonstrate.
