I'm really torn about how to rate myself. I read one book by her several years ago and haven't been drawn into another. The book was ok, but certainly not a favorite. So I'm probably a very low B or a high D. I can be so wishy-washy sometimes!!
I'm having a little trouble with that, too - I guess I have to go with a D, because I have avoided her stuff based on what I read previously. The problem is, it's been at least 30 years, probably more, since I read anything by her. I know I've changed a lot in that time, and I'm pretty sure her writing has too, so it's almost like I've never read her before! :D
I've read one book by her - just last month, dash it! It wsa from her Harlequin days and wasn't bad but I'm not in a rush to repeat her just yet :(FYI I read The Soldier And The Baby
Shoot, I forgot to list my book - I'll be reading The Wicked House of Rohan. I'm going to start small to see how I like it, but I've heard good things about the audio of this series and I know I like the narrator. Who knows I may move on the book one if I like the prequel.
I forgot to list my book, too - I'm going with Black Ice, since I've had it on my TBR forever and have never been able to talk myself into it before.
i'm somewhere between a B and an A - I love her Beta heroes and the fact that she can make people you hate, into heroes in later booksi'll have to look at my audiobook stash - since I know I have a few by her on it
I'm in! I've read one book by her, Falling Angel, last year over the holidays. It was good. That makes me a "B".I'm in the mood for a bodice ripper, so I'm picking To Love a Dark Lord off the TBR pack!
I've read about 6 of her books and some anthology stories, and I consider myself a B. I love her historicals so far, her contemporary suspense not so much. So I guess I'll read another of her historicals for this challenge. I'll pick one from these three books:
I guess I'm a B-. I listened to Ruthless a while back because I loved the narrator. I'll continue with that series with whatever I can get from the library on audio. I think Susan Ericksen is a phenomenal talent so I'd listen to her read almost anything.
I started a B, and after having read Under an Enchantment, I'm finishing a B. It was pleasant enough, had a few minor issues but nothing too horrible.
I finished Black Ice today, and unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I just couldn't see the appeal of Bastien - hot and sexy yes, but at some point there has to be more than just that, and I never found it. I started as a D and I'm ending as a C, although if I have time later in the month I might give one of her historicals a shot since I've never read any of those.
i was a c read the wicked house of Rohan this was a very short book but i did enjoy it and i'd say i was an a i will read more possibly the next in the house of rohan series
I started To Love a Dark Lord last night, and although I haven't finished it yet, I probably will tonight. I'm enjoying it so much that I've been thinking about dark hero Killoran all day today! If you haven't selected your Anne Stuart pick for this challenge, consider this book. I would highly recommend it.
Finished
this morning and it didn't change my mind about this author. I started as a 'D' and ended a 'C'. I guess this author just isn't for me...
I really thought I had come back to comment about the book I read... Oh well, I'll do it now!I listened to The Wicked House of Rohan and in beginning of the story, I found nothing to like about the hero but by the end I thought he was ok. In general, the story moved very quickly and was just ok for me. I've heard good things about this series, so I will probably give a full length book a chance. But I'm not in a hurry to do so. I did listen to the audio and with Susan Ericksen, it is hard to go wrong. (Although I did keep hearing Eve and Roarke in my head...)
So I started a very low B and I guess that is where I'm ending too.
I finished To Love a Dark Lord this morning! I started a newbie "C" and ended a big fan "A" and would definitely read more by Stuart. Thanks for introducing to a new-to-me author!
I started as a C, read Star Light, Star Bright, and would say I'm an A now. I would read another of her books.
I started out a C and ended up a B.I read Never Kiss a Rake by Anne Stuart and gave it 4 *'s. This was a cute little book that I got on sale on audible.com. It was ok, I like my historical romance novels to be a bit more humorous but it was ok. There was a little mystery to solve but it was pretty obvious.
So I started out as a C and read Black Ice (12/20) ★★★.I had some real problems with this book though it did get a little better towards the end. I would probably end up somewhere between a B and C. The last quarter is the only thing that saved this from being a 2 or 2.5 star read.
I finished Ruthless. I started as a C and you can make me an A for this author. I was amazed at how much I liked this book and am planning on reading the next book in the series.
