For Faceless Killers my Twist is The Shadowcatcher by Micah Hackler. I need this for The Randomizer over in Crazy Challenge Connection. The challenge consisted of 30 specific books randomly chosen. I had 27 of them read at the beginning of December. This was the first of the three I have left.
The link for sharing a story in The Snowman is taking me to the Fall thread rather than here where I would expect it to go.Where should I post my story?

In the early 1990s my in-laws came for a Christmas visit. They are from Virginia and not used to Nebraska winters. When they got off the plane the air temperature was -18 with a brisk 20 mph wind. Margaret thought she was going to freeze solid before we could get to the car. Like most kids, my sons were oblivious to the cold. They made her wait in the wind in front of the terminal while they demonstrated the proper technique for making snow angels. That was the last time Jack and Margaret ever came to visit between October and March.
For RoseannaThe Bullet-Catcher's Daughter by Rod Duncan, 30 Dec 2019
I needed this as my last book for This Is the Year and finished it with ONE day to spare! In this challenge you choose a number of books and list them at the beginning of the year. These should be books that have languished on your TBR for a long time. You have one year to read them all (or DNF them but either way they leave the TBR). I choose 12 each year.
A winter memory of mine took place two years ago - we travelled to the South Island of New Zealand and for a splurge we stayed in lakeside apartments in Queenstown right in the centre of the southern alps. Snow covered mountains surrounded us - the apartment had a fire and on our second day a blizzard started. We sat in the lounge in front of the fire watching the snow falling. We had red wine to sip and books to read but didn’t really read we just looked at the snow and chatted.
Was a wonderful afternoon.
