oh yea ... we think that more is better ... and it is not ... promotions are nice but they also carry with it more responsibility, stress and often more work hours ... who needs that ??
I don't like anyone who isn't really listening to me when I'm talking to them: it's just that I try to listen actively .. but I'm the ultimate multi tasker in other areas.. like saying I love everyone & then leaving a shopping cart in a handicapped spot: whew. lazy.. went back and moved it.. along with the other three carts.. how rude! and double minded! I do hope more people realize that texting someone while listening to another person is not really hearing! wow
I like that first part too of the quote: although it can't be too deep .. I guess that's the understood irony : i hope we can really figure out that the most incredible encounters are sometimes the ones we were like.. oh brother, let's just get thru this ... I've done that so many times .. what could be more important.. ?? well...
You're both pointing out the real rub of this quote: They we are all both offended and offender in the "presence" department. I do really try to listen, then I can be so easily distracted by the noise in my own head or by what surrounds me.
