2020 kicks off with a cover war started on the last Sunday in December. It will run until Sunday morning 8:00 Eastern time. 7:00 central... do the math. Some of you are new to this process. It is fun to watch the votes count up. Up for consideration is JAFF author Sarah Courtney with her A Good Name: A Modern Pride and Prejudice Variation

703/513 It has been 'touch and go' all evening. We have the lead now... however, they will probably take it back during the night. We managed this lead but I don't know if we can hold it or not. Tomorrow is another day. Hang in there, guys. At least this author will know we fight for JAFF covers. Remember, every device, every browser, every time. http://authorshout.com/cover-wars/
I just voted on my phone and tablet. i tried to vote on my desktop earlier but the internet was acting up so I will need to try again later.
Well, we are way behind now [1009/945]. I knew this was going to be a bust when they started moving quickly. I just watched to see when they would do their thing. They first took it during the night but we gained it back this morning. I then watched as they went from being behind to 10, then 20, then 30 ahead all within five minutes. I kid you not. This publisher was determined to win. We have seen this pattern before and I like to tweak their nose a bit just to see how they handle it. I knew we'd probably lose this cover war. As I said, we have seen this pattern before. Like one author said, it is the exposure that counts. So, I suppose, it doesn't matter if we win or lose. Great effort, guys.

I also voted on my tablet and phone.
It is an ugly cover but they seem determined. I will continue to vote as I can. I have things to do today and decided to not spend it on the computer only for them to take it tonight. Thanks, Chelsea.
Yeah, Saioa, they are. At least we don't have any JAFF covers to vote on this week. We will check again Sunday morning and see if we have anything in the race. It is fun to see how hard an author or publisher will push a cover. We give them heck for sure. We don't go down easily. If it is a fight/race, we can push as hard as they do.
We have a cover war this week over at Author Shout authorshout.com/cover-wars/For those new to this process... go to the above link, there are 10 covers for consideration and simply click the circle of choice and hit the vote button. We try to support the JAFF covers so please help our author win the Cover War. The contest will end on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. eastern time zone. Stay tuned throughout the week as we support our author Cassandra B. Leigh.

Chelsea, it's been going back and forth all evening. This one is not going to let us walk away with it. They are aggressive. Currently, we are leading at 547/527. How long we can hold it... uncertain. I'm about to go to bed. I'll look at it in the morning. It is only Tuesday and we are already in the 500 range. Wow! They hit the road running right out of the gate. They want this one for sure. At least we are making them work for it. Thanks for commenting, Chelsea

Yeah, I see they are now taking 'great leaps' to keep us from catching up. **snicker** I love giving them a good run. We've made them work for it that is for sure. Great job everyone. This will end Sunday morning. We may not win but we have given great exposure and have shown support for our JAFF author and her cover.
We have pulled ahead 1241 to 1235. They must be sleeping off their all-nighter. They won't let this stand so be vigilant. Y'all have done a great job. Keep voting, every device, every browser, every time. http://authorshout.com/cover-wars/
Wow! 45 minutes... I went to fix my husband a snack and look at what happened. We are now behind. They are 1346 and we are 1270. Dang! Correction, just in the length of time that I was writing this... they are now 1359. Love it.
During a previous contest, I saw a 50 vote jump. I did my power votes apparently while they were in the bathroom or they went to dinner. They're back. LOL! I've seen this before so I was expecting it. At least we are making them work for it.

Sorry I didn't get to check up on the scores first thing this morning. Wasn't well during the night, slept badly until about 4am and then crashed till nearly noon, UK time. I see that the other book won eventually, despite our best efforts. Does anyone know how close it was?
The last time I looked [I wrote it down] their votes were 1877 to our 1762. I was probably that last vote. There wasn't much time left. I'm not sure what happened after that.
Not JAFF but an author you might want to support. http://authorshout.com/cover-wars/
Meredith [Austenesque Reviews] has an upcoming interview on Feb 24th with [new-to-us] author Leah Garriott on her upcoming book [launch date Feb 18] Promised. I've just discovered that it is featured over at 'Cover Wars' this week. It is currently in second place at 196/181.

I just voted for it on my tablet and phone.
It is still in second place: 203/198
Yep, I was just going to say that. I just voted and it is 217/204. That's good. I can't wait to read Meredith's interview. I don't know this author and there is only one book under her name on Amazon. I sounds like a cute story even if it isn't JAFF.

It has been busy since you visited Chelsea. Leah is leading 901 to 821. But they are advancing even as I write this. They were 117 behind and now only 80, which can be made up fairly quickly. Don't forget to vote on every device, every browser, every time. Saturday night will be the defining moment... as we saw in the last contest.
