Writing Passionates discussion

This year, I'm applying to be part of our school's literary magazine. I don't think I'm an amazing writer, but I do love to write!
Do you have any stories about your own writing experiences (school newspaper, nanowrimo, competitions, etc)
I'd love to hear them!

ooo! that sounds fun! I'm in creative writng club at my school. :)

And I've done nano! And I'm doing it again this year! :) Last year ended up with an awful story... and I never am going to finish. It's to horrible. but it showed me that yes, I can write a novel. :D

my friend and I started a writing club at our school! we got like 30 ppl to sign up ... O_O weren't expecting that many. hopefully not all of them'll show up. heh heh. first meeting is on friday! acck i'm excited XD XD XD

That is exciting! I think the most we've gotten in our school is fifteen at once... which makes it quite difficult when you are attemmpting to make a circle in the middle of the room on the floor, by the way. But then again, we can't even make a circle with five people, when there is enough room. Because the only kind of circle a writer can make is actually an oval trying to be a square. Or at least, that's what I believe.

lol.

First meeting was good ... only like half the people who signed up actually showed up, but it was still a good-sized group. And it was fun. :)

of course it was fun! That's what happens when you get a bunch of writers together!

wow, this was after our first Writer's Block meeting … soooo long ago. lol. :D that club was kind of a fail, hoping it'll work out better this year. XD

I was looking at this post again and thinking of how one year can change so much! This year I'm not going to be part of our school magazine because it was so stressful that it started to affect my self-confidence and grades. I'm still writing though, and now I'm in the middle of two novels! I would never have dreamed of getting past 5,000 words in a story last year, but now I'm at 15,000 strong!

Congrats, Kritika! That's awesome ;) And yeah, a lot changes in a year ...
