Emerson Noble | 14 comments This novel definitely gives a heavy Frankenstein vibe but a little more gruesome. If you're into scary stories, monsters, and gory graphic descriptions, then this is a book for you but definitely not for me. This novel was fascinating and entertaining but there were certain parts that didn't need to be as descriptive as they were like when the monsters would kill and eat someone.
The main character, Will Henry, had a sad upbringing but once he became an assistant to Dr. Pellinore Warthorpe, he was introduced to a life full of monsters. I thought the relationship between the two characters was interesting and was not your typical relationship because Will is an orphan under his care. This creepy novel is definitely not one I would recommend to young adults/teens because it is not everyones cup of tea, but if you're into these kinds of stories then this is the perfect scary story.
