Ghost is the perfect coming of age novel and delivers many powerful messages to young teens. The way this story is written makes you feel like you are the main character Ghost himself because you feel what he feels. He is dealing with so many issues that a boy at his age should not have to deal with so when he joins the track team and forms a bond with his coach, his life takes a turn for the better because he now has the support system he lacked from his father and finds out that he is good at track and actually enjoys it. I want this book to be used in classrooms in high school and middle school because it can teach kids so many lessons and can find a way to relate to many aspects of the book in some way.
