Speaking of paternity...

Sebastian reveals to Hendon that Wilcox was not Stephanie’s father! Did we know that?

That came out of the blue for me. If it had been revealed earlier, I forgot. I knew that Wilcox was a terrible man, but so Sebastian's sister was a shrew.

Did we know Wilcox abused Stephanie?

I don’t remember that and can’t find it in earlier discussions.

I also don’t remember that Wilcox sexually abused Stephanie.

Any help out there on this question?

Wasn't there a hint that he wasn't her father when Sebastian was struggling with his own paternity? I think Henrietta said something to Sebastian on one of her visits. But it was never said who her biological father is.

It's in Where The Dead Lie, chapter 25. Sebastian goes to ask his aunt a question and she tells him that Wilcox was not Stephanie's father. She told him she doesn't know who her father is and isn't sure if Stephanie knows.

Yes, I remembered that Henrietta had told that to Sebastian so it wasn't a surprise to me. I do wonder if he'll tell Stephanie.

I did remember that Wilcox wasn't Stephanie's father, but I didn't remember how Sebastian found out or if Stephanie knew.
