Am I correct in assuming that for option A the name of the season doesn't have to retain it's meaning? For example:
?And just in case covering that "magic" is here and "children's" isn't. Why I Let My Hair Grow Out
Thanks!

Yes both of those will work.
Please excuse me. My spelling gene noted that the title of the task is misspelled. Should be DEITIES not DIE...
Is poetry okay as long as it meets SRC page number requirements? I'm wondering if I could use Book of Longing for Option B.

There are little black birds around the tree"
Yes

For option B, would
be enough bird on the cover? If not, I can slot
in there.For option D, could I have
verified for Fantasy > Magic? Thanks :)

Genre noted for City of Dark Magic.
Would the following be ok?Summers & Winters - Heather Dowell for Option A (awaiting verification for length as well).
The City of Malgar - Rosemary Lynch for Option C (awaiting verification for length as well).

Both have been verified for length as 2nd book has a paperback copy lol x
Found another possibility that I may want to read instead of my previous choice, Mercy Snow. Can you approve The Enchanted for magical realism. Thanks!

Reposting the request (originally from Bea in post 15) to have this thread name fixed from DIETIES to DEITIES. It's very disconcerting :)
Alkmini wrote: "For Option D can I read this one?The Magicians' Guild"
Yes Magic is on the home page.
B - will

For this task we will explore Egyptian Mythology. You will chose TWO different options and read a book for EACH. This is a TWO book task.
A. THE GODDESS MA'AT - Ma'at was the ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, law, morality, and justice. Maat was also personified as a goddess regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and the deities, who set the order of the universe from chaos at the moment of creation.
For this option read a book with the name of a season (winter, spring, summer or fall/autumn) in the title or subtitle. Plurals and possessives will work but no other variations.
B.THE SUN GOD RA - Ra is the ancient Egyptian solar deity. He was believed to rule in all parts of the created world: the sky, the earth, and the underworld. He was associated with the falcon or hawk.
For this option read a book with the image of a bird (any bird will do) on the cover.
REQUIRED: If you chose this option include the cover in your post.
C. THE GOD OSIRIS - Osiris is usually identified as the god of the afterlife, the underworld and the dead. Osiris was considered not only a merciful judge of the dead in the afterlife, but also the underworld agency that granted all life, including sprouting vegetation and the fertile flooding of the Nile River. As a result he is also known as the god of resurrection.
For this option read a book that is first in a series that is new to you or resurrect a series that you have been neglecting and read another book in the series. NO REREADS for this option.
REQUIRED: State that the book read for the task is not a reread.
D. THE GODESS ISIS - Isis was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife as well as the patroness of nature and magic. She was the friend of slaves, sinners, artisans and the downtrodden, but she also listened to the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats and rulers.
For this option read a book that has "Magic" or "Magical Realism" as a genre on the home page. Embedded genres will work for this task.
REQUIRED: State which options you chose when you post.
