I had never heard of this author! This looks like a fun series think I will try it out!

I am going to check out The Beadworkers

Might change my selection to Heartbreak of Wounded Knee, a Goodreads nominee.

oh I read Trail of Lightning and really liked it. Thank you for reminding me :) Storm of Locusts might be my choice for this. Either that or There There

I love Rebecca Roanhorse!!

Just finished The Beadworkers written by Beth Piatote, a Nez Perce enrolled with Colville Confederated Tribes. This book is a collection of short stories and a short play. I really enjoyed most of it, but there were sections that were written in the Nez Oerce language that I wasn’t able to understand. Most if it was very good!!! I actually finished it in one day!

My choice is The Yield by Tara June Winch and Australian Widadjuri author.

I read "Moon of the Crusted Snow" by Waubgeshig Rice. It's a fast read (less than 400 pages on my Kobo), but in a good way! It was a page turner. It's apocalyptic theme leaves you feeling a bit eerie in this COVID-19 world ... but in a good kind of a way!

I loved Red Wolf by Jennifer Dance about the residential school system. I learned a lot!

Lani’s Story by Lani Brennan
A heartbreaking story about an Aboriginal woman and her journey getting away from a violent partner and how others treated her.

There There by Tommy Orange. I thought this book was a bit confusing but I did think it was good.
