Just finished The Beadworkers written by Beth Piatote, a Nez Perce enrolled with Colville Confederated Tribes. This book is a collection of short stories and a short play. I really enjoyed most of it, but there were sections that were written in the Nez Oerce language that I wasn’t able to understand. Most if it was very good!!! I actually finished it in one day!
I read "Moon of the Crusted Snow" by Waubgeshig Rice. It's a fast read (less than 400 pages on my Kobo), but in a good way! It was a page turner. It's apocalyptic theme leaves you feeling a bit eerie in this COVID-19 world ... but in a good kind of a way!
Lani’s Story by Lani Brennan A heartbreaking story about an Aboriginal woman and her journey getting away from a violent partner and how others treated her.
