Cyndi Barnier (cyndiwilliamsbarnier) | 1 comments As authors (we're a duo writing team) we've know from the very beginning that we wanted to write in the genre of Psychological / Suspense / Thriller. Years of study have gone into writing such novels. An easy question, what makes a serial killer? The answer however is very convoluted. So many factors go into the equation. Our advantage as a writing duo, first, is our love of psychology and what makes the brain tick and all the studies that went along with that. How the brain is wired, becomes unwired, and the lifetime of nasty's that alter its state. Then there's the personal experiences. The one's that pushed us so far to the edge that we easily could have jumped off the other side into "that world". However, we took our knowledge and experience and put them into words, creating a harmonious cacophony of believable "sick" characters. We must be doing it right, as the reviews are great and the 5 star rating is still holding after several years. However, its not just fictional stories; we purposely take you on a ride into the mind of the antagonist, whether it be male or female, and you follow them from childhood on up - to the monster that they finally become. Somewhere in the midst of the novel the reader realizes their stuck in either loving to hate the killer or hating to love the killer...that's the psychological twist that would go on in real life (like from a mother's or father's standpoint). We enjoy our 2nd careers as authors in the genre...but we try to open ourselves to other genres also, as a challenge. So, with that said, we're author's Cyndi Williams-Barnier & Jack Gannon & would love to hear back from you.
