That is certainly an interesting question. I suppose at a certain point you do "become" the lessons you are taught, because they shape your future actions unconsciously. As a young child my mother always read to me, and instilled in me the importance of reading and perfectionism (usually as it pertained to my studies). To this day I still carry those principles with me, and continue to be an avid reader and extremely fussy over my grades!

I love this- it can be so interesting to look at our lives and see how we've "become" all we've learned.
