Taya went through a lot during her captivity and she is lecturing about it, so I don't think it was unfair to ask her to assist with any intel she could give. It was definitely helpful for both of them. Taya helped Summer integrate with the Team wives and they supported her.
It was a smart move to ask for her help. They needed all the info they could get. Taya was happy to help. It puts a positive spin on her ordeal if something good could come out of it.
It wasn’t unfair to ask as she had the option to say no. But this was a tough thing because this was a different level of discussion, revisiting the awful aspects of her captivity and, even worse, she had to confront the men who abused her (photos). It just brought it all back, full force. Plus, being back in the Middle East didn’t help as she’s in similar settings.
However! This had a different outcome, in large part because of her contribution and she was able to help Summer personally. Taya now has a positive ending to it all and that’s got to make a big difference.

I think the team and their significant others are one big family and they all have each other’s backs no matter what they are asked to do. They don’t even question it, they just jump in.
I agree with all of your comments. The team and their partners are like one big family, always there to help one another. Taya was able to really help Summer after she was rescued and then help her mix with the others after she was back.I think this really helped both Taya and Summer. And then Summer found out that all the women have dealt with some type of trauma.
