Jonetta - I am ready to start on book 2 anytime you are :)Robin - I will let you know when I am few books in.
I just finished White Witch, Black Curse. I've gotten behind but will be starting book 8, Black Magic Sanction fairly soon.Robin, the action doesn't lessen as the books go on in my opinion. It evens out a bit, but still has some very exciting moments.

Do you want to start in January?

I'm up to book 6 in this series and I would love to get back to it. I'll watch for when you guys get there and then join in!
Another one that I have put on hold. I've read the first and penciled in the rest to read in 2015 so a January start for the second book works great for me too.
Warning! Many people have trouble getting through book 1 but stay with it. The series is great! I did them all on audio.
I agree as I wasn't all that hot about the first book. But, too many of my friends who continued the series made the same claim as Jennifer so I'm going forward.
I bought books 1-5 in paperback years ago at a used bookstore. I loaned the 1st book out to 3 different co-workers and they all brought it back unfinished so I put the series down on my TBR pile. Then I tried book 1 on audio and I was hooked! So I didn't have that issue but I might have if I read it.
I bought the series in PDF format last year and had no problems getting through the 1st book. I actually read it in one day and finished the 2nd the next day.
I actually enjoyed the first book quite a bit on audio. I love Marguerite Gavin's narration.
My problem with book 2 (I got halfway through) is Rachel and Ivy's weird relationship. There is something off putting about it. Maybe now that time has passed, I will be able to get over it.

That is exactly my problem with the series, Lauren! I stopped reading half way through the sixth book I think because this darn Rachel/Ivy mess is still not even close to sorted out and it drives me nutty. Lol! I love everything else about the series but that one aspect of the series makes me reluctant to keep going. I might give it a go on audio too. Maybe that will help.

I never liked Ivy and I'm done with the series. LOL She was my least favorite character ever!

Yup. Looks like I'll just have to accept it and move on with the series regardless ...

Moving on with the series - book #6
As always, it starts with some excellent action. Let's see how long it takes for Ivy to annoy me...

Not sure that will happen but I'm interested enough in Rachel and Trent and some of the other characters to continue with it.
This audiobook has a different narrator and while she is OK, I miss Gavin's wonderful voices. Thankfully the next book goes back to her narration.

I'll let you know how it goes :0)

If memory serves, the beat-a-dead-horse Ivy drama fades significantly after this book. Book 8 is one of my favorites.
