Chelle_Rydz (chellerydz) | 31 comments I am a first time climber. I really want/need to tackle my MT TBR. I own so many books and just keep on getting more. My goal this year is to participate in less book clubs and challenges so that I read more of what I want, when I want, and from MY owned books.

🥾The CLIMB (so far)
⛰️Base Level: Mt. Wycheproof
🥾 1. Murder, She Knit (A Knit & Nibble Mystery #1) by Peggy Ehrhart (Read 01/03/20 ☆☆☆; paperback - donated to knitting club)
🥾 2. Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (Read 01/29/20 ☆☆☆; kindle and audiobook )
🥾3. The Seventh Plague (Sigma Force, #12) by James Rollins (Read 02/06/20 ☆☆☆ 1/2; hardcover - will be donated )
🥾4. Ghost Ship (Sigma Force, #12.5) by James Rollins (Read 02/07/20 ☆☆☆; kindle )
🥾5. City of Ghosts (Cassidy Blake, #1) by Victoria Schwab (Read 02/15/20 ☆☆☆; hardcover;- will be donated )
🥾 6. Cat Knit by Jacob Grant (Read 02/16/20 ☆☆☆; hardcover;- will be donated )

🏕️The Vampire Knitting Club (Currently Reading; kindle)
🏕️In Such Good Company: Eleven Years of Laughter, Mayhem, and Fun in the Sandbox (Currently Reading)
🏕️Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative(Currently Reading)
Here are just some of my mountain of owned books that I'd like to choose from to read on this year's climb.

Maria | 35 comments Two Dark Reigns!! I preordered that one, received it the day it came out...then didn't read it until three months later. I'm now four months into owning Five Dark Fates...and I don't know WHEN I'm going to pick it up. I just don't know if I'm ready! I love the series, and I'm nervous about how it might end...

Anyway, excited to see what you think of it! And good luck on your climb—looks like you've got great books in store!

Leslie Welcome Chelle & good luck!

Chelle_Rydz (chellerydz) | 31 comments I finished my first book of the climb, Murder, She Knit (A Knit & Nibble Mystery #1) by Peggy Ehrhart (Read 01/03/20 ☆☆☆)
It was cute and I want to continue with the series. I do own the second book already so it works in my climb.

The next book on my climb is The Seventh Plague (Sigma Force, #12) by James Rollins by one of my favorite authors, James Rollins

I'm also reading some NF (slowly) I own to add to my climb.

Same here. I don't want it to end so I've been sitting on them.

Katrina (katrinalee_84) "Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor" sounds like a great read! Looking forward to your review/thoughts when you finish it! Happy reading!

Chelle_Rydz (chellerydz) | 31 comments Finished my second read of the climb. Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (Read 01/29/20 ☆☆☆ ) I own many copies of this - the audio-book, a kindle version, a physical book, and one called Steampunk: Frankenstein that never shows up in a search here.
I thought I had read it when I was younger but I did not. It was very different than I expected it to be after watching so many movies on the subject. I liked it and LOVED Dan Stevens narration.

superawesomekt | 63 comments I've had my eye on the Dan Stevens narration, thanks for the recommendation!

Dan Stevens is probably my favorite audiobook narrator ever. I didn't realize he'd done narration for Frankenstein - I'll definitely have to check that out!

Chelle_Rydz (chellerydz) | 31 comments I finished 3 & 4 this weekend.
✔3. The Seventh Plague (Sigma Force, #12) by James Rollins (Read 02/06/20 ☆☆☆ 1/2 )
✔4. Ghost Ship (Sigma Force, #12.5) by James Rollins (Read 02/07/20 ☆☆☆ )
I'm remembering why I like James Rollins so much. I don't know why I stopped reading him. (oh yeah, he killed off a character I likes and hinted at my favorite characters demise).

Chelle_Rydz (chellerydz) | 31 comments Book 5 is done! City of Ghosts (Cassidy Blake, #1) by Victoria Schwab
Read 02/15/20 ☆☆☆. This was a cute little ghost story. I would have LOVED this book when I was 11 or twelve. It was fun and a little spooky. I plan on continuing with the series.
This was a hardcover gift for Christmas; I will be gifting it to a friend that has it on her TBR.

Chelle_Rydz (chellerydz) | 31 comments I finished my first climb with a kids' book I received as a gift. Cat Knit by Jacob Grant . It was a super cute book that I will take to the Little Free Library by my house.
ON TO PIKE's PEAK!
