@Jena I think you and you’re 9 year old will love it! What I love about this book is it explores some pretty complex ideas but still manages to stay comically enjoyable.
@Jessica it was my first Jason Reynolds book too! He’s a great author👏🏻

Wow that’s so cool! Thanks for sharing that Becca!
Jason Reynolds has a good point that if kids meet more authors they’d be more motivated to read. It’s true that the one time I meant an author and really had a full conversation with them about their book I was filled with more interest to read more of their books.
But also you’ve got to love CBS News covering a story about an author who’s books are published by Simon & Schuster, a division of ViacomCBS, a company which also happens to own, you guessed it, CBS News. I wouldn’t have known that if they hadn’t mentioned it in the article so it’s just funny why they felt the need to say they’re connected to the author’s publisher😂

Funny! I didn't notice that about the CBS article.
Our very first Book of the Month for 2020 will be Ghost by Jason Reynolds!
Have you ever read a Jason Reynolds book before? This is the first and only one I've ever read but it's so good it bodes well for the rest of them.
