Remi Mariano | 4 comments I think location is important, paticularly with romance novels. For me, the setting is all part of the fantasy and as important as the characters. Do you agree?

Melissa I think you can have romance set anywhere as long as the story and the location fit together. You can't be in the West Virginia coal territory and all the characters be hipsters, because while I am sure there are hipsters there, in that locale you are usually looking for a story about "manly alpha men".

Remi Mariano | 4 comments Hi Melissa
I agree, you can have romance anywhere. It's good to have likable characters that the reader enjoys spending time in the company of, and I think it is also good to have appealing locations that the reader would probably like to visit, for a Romance.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14535 comments Romance can happen anywhere. But I know I have certain locations I prefer and locations I tend to shy away from. Perhaps not just locations but time periods too.

Cindy (Romance addict) I definitely agree. I lean towards books that the location is in small towns.
