Me as well - I find non-fiction tough to get through if it's dry. Dry factual research is especially tough. It takes me forever to get through.
I find I read non-fiction quicker if it's written by a poet or someone else with an atypical style, such as A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf or other quirky fare such as various books of non-fiction by John Ruskin or Muriel Rukeyser.

I agree with Greg...that's why I love Bill Bryson...he manages to fill books with the most interesting facts and makes them fun and easy to read. Good luck with your challenge :)
Thanks all! This is the first time I wrote down a reading goal in concrete, per se, so hopefully it will keep me more focused. I just joined this group and everyone is so nice and receptive.
MSJ (Sarah), what a great goal! This year I had a goal of reading 50 nonfiction books, and I have 2 more to go. (I don't work and have a lot of time to read.)
