Dan | 1646 comments "Ray Bradbury was a Weird Fiction author?" I hear you asking. Yes indeed! By my count he published no less than twenty-six short stories in its pages during the 1940s, a poem too when the magazine was resurrected in the 1980s. Here's my list of Bradbury Weird tales:

The Candle 11/42
The Wind 3/43
The Crowd 5/43
The Scythe 7/43
The Ducker 11/43
The Sea Shell 1/44
Reunion 3/44 & Fall/84
The Lake 5/44
There Was an Old Woman 7/44
Bang! You’re Dead! 9/44
The Jar 11/44
The Poems 1/45
The Tombstone 3/45
The Watchers 5/45 & Summer 1973
The Dead Man 7/45
Skeleton 9/45
The Traveler 3/46
The Smiling People 5/46 & Fall 1973
The Night 7/46
Let’s Play “Poison” 11/46
The Handler 1/47
Interim 7/47
The October Game 3/48
The Black Ferris 5/48
The Undead Die (with E. Everett Evans) 7/48
Fever Dream 9/48
There Are No Ghosts in Catholic Spain (poem) Spring 1983 & Spring 1991

I have read the poem. It's cute, not a typical poem. Bradbury must have spent a fair amount of time in Spain. He captures the spirit of the country well.

I have also read "The Watchers". It was in Bradbury's first story collection, which consisted solely of Weird tales: Dark Carnival, published originally by Arkham House. It's a very unsettling story in the psychological horror mode. (view spoiler) I can't deny its power and how well written it is. Nevertheless, I really hate bugs. This story will never be a favorite for me.
