( History ) Born in 1931, Ember was the last hatchling of her parents before they were killed. She escaped the attack on their cave by hiding in a small niche in the cave wall and watched as her parents and nest mates were slaughtered by members of the Inquisition. She does not trust humans easily because of this and kills anyone who is a member of the Inquisition if she meets them. For 80 years she lived in an area close to the cave she was born in, growing to the size of a small barn.

Three years ago, she became bored with the area and decided to find a cave somewhere else. She searched for days until she came upon Venice. It seemed to be an interesting town, full of the creatures some called the Awakened. She stays at the edge of the town, not wanting to risk being seen by the humans and cause the Inquisition to come and kill her.
