I've never done one before. Do you guys tend to choose lots of short books so you can get through a bunch of books, or do you pick one whopper and read as much as you can from it ?
Thanks -
Thanks -
Unipinky - this Readathon is open to all genres and novel lengths so you can read whatever your heart desires! Some people set a goal for the number of books they want to read and others set it for the number of pages they want to read. Others still might count something totally different! Have fun with whatever you choose to read and make the most of it!

I just didn't know if it had to be say Adventure genre or YA or something like that but it's great that it can be any! :)
I won't have much time to read as I will be visiting my family for Christmas, but I will have some time on the plane, so hopefully will get some reading done then.
I love readathons!! I'll definitely be participating :)
Am in and I am going to try to use this time to finish at least one or maybe two of my unread books!

Oh, that's a great idea! Now I will be off to pair my books in groups of threes.... :D
Almost a week to go til the readathon! Is everyone prepped and ready?
I haven't even started thinking about what I'm going to read!
I haven't even started thinking about what I'm going to read!
I've got my pile all ready by my beside - now I'm just trying to line up my week so that I can make as much time as possible available for reading. Very excited!
Holly, I haven't begun to think about it either. I should just try to finish some of my books that are sitting on the Currently Reading shelf. A reading slump has fallen upon me.
I read so far this month The Island of Dr. Moreau and The Name of the Wind so am now reading Nightmares, Pennyroyal Academy and The Romance of the Christmas card. I plan to read The Christmas Angel and Keepers of Arden The Brothers volume 2 next. So I hope to finish what I am currently reading this month before the end of it.
I'm in! We are actually moving from Minnesota to Missouri over the holidays and will be spending a bunch of the time hanging out in a hotel till we close on the new house. Now I just need to figure out what to read...
I think I have started with this Readathon a bit too early... Since Saturday I have already read six books. But because my tbr shelve is full of books, I think I will finish this Readathon with another ten books checked off of my tbr list!
I've woken up in the middle of the night. Must have been the Dancing Sugar Plums that waked me. So I'm gonna do a little reading for the Readathon. Shhh.
By my clock is started 19 hours and 52 minutes ago, and I've only read like 2 pages. I'm doing so well.
I've been reading that well-loved holiday classic:
Nightmare Magazine, October 2014: Women Destroy Horror! Special Issue
34 pages.
I've got 150 pages of book read so far today - 100 of my Grimm's fairy tales that I've really been re-reading off and on for years, and 50 of Coraline which I got for Christmas today.
I managed to read about 200 pages since the readathon started (which is 22 hours 54 min ago). Good thing my family didn't mind me reading. :D
I've managed to read 47 pages of Doctor Who: Last of the Gaderene since the readathon started. Christmas day is not a good day for reading when it comes to my family.
Off to a good start. Finished Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption this afternoon. I'm about a third of the way through To the Lighthouse and hope to finish it tonight. I looked for 84, Charing Cross Road but had no luck finding and electronic version. So that one will just have to wait till I find the library in our new town.
I've been doing mine all month long and am reading my final two books of the year pennyroyal academy and keepers of arden the brothers volume 2 so I hope to finish them soon.
I haven't had a chance to read much yet today but I will be digging in tomorrow! Happy reading everyone.
Read 180 pages today (yesterday really, it's 2 am where I live) to finish Pandora, next up is The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle; hopefully I'll be done with it by tomorrow.
It's a wonderful tshirt! My mum said to me age ago that 'she got me a tshirt so like me it was unreal', and now I understand what she meant!
Getting into the readathon now! One reason I love Boxing Day is because it's an opportunity to just sit in one spot all day and read, not moving at all other than for food and coffee, with no expectation on you to do anything else. The ultimate slobby day!
I'll count up my pages in a bit, have to work out where I started in The Iliad!
