Reception
All the bridesmaids and groomsmen were sitting on the same long table as the newly wed couple and their parents. Emery sat beside Riley while the seat next to Philip remained empty, because that was where Peter supossed to sit.
"Hey," Emery leaned to the back and waved at Philip. "Random guess, is your brother never done a speech on his own before?" she asked quietly. "Because 30 seconds ago he asked me, 'can a groomsman do the toast instead? I'm not exactly a chatty person.'."
.
Peter stood between the rows of tables and the main table with a microphone on his hand. To be perfectly honest, he didn't prepared anything for the toast today. He knew about it, obviously, but he thought some miracle would've happened and he didn't have to toast. But he wasn't that lucky.
Come on, Peter. You read like, what? Ten thousand books a year? Of course you can come out with something to say with that much of references, he mind-scolded himself.

((Wecho might have to just use body languages for a little while since they have to sit separately far far far away... XD))
Audrey was sitting down the bridesmaids row, in between Louise and Echo. She felt awkward, because she didn't know the other two very well, so turned her head to watch Peter make his toast.
Rania was sitting somewhere, and she was composing her speech.
The other three were sitting at a table with the rest of the Elite who weren't bridesmaids.

"Well, if he sucks, you're the one to blame then. 12% of the credit, maybe 15% if he screws up." she said teasingly, but quickly added, "I really need to stop tease you and draw the line, huh? King?"
.
Peter closed his eyes and breathed deep and slowly, then he opened his eyes and smiled at the guests. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, family and friend, thank you for coming today." he said. "Before the dinner, we're going to hear few words and toasts from groom an bride's closest people. And let's begin with... me,"
Peter looked at the main table, and mostly at Philip, thinking 'What do I have to say about you?', or maybe he was just hoping someone would save him.
Well, it's now or never, he told himself. "On behalf of Philip and Riley, I'd like to thank everyone for attending this beautiful wedding today. My name is Peter Shreave, and I am the Best Man. I'd like to propose a toast to the bride and groom. May today be the beginning of a wonderful new and long-lasting chapter in their lives, and may they always love, honor and cherish each other, just as they do today." he began his speech. "There's been much clap trap about "I'm not losing a daughter but gaining a son-in-law."," he continued, then looked at Riley's father and smiled, "To the father of the bride, for trading his daughter for Philip as his son-in-law, I just want to say, I live under the same roof as him for my entire life, and I can assure you, when you handed her to him at the ceremony today, you handed her to the right man, and he’s gonna give all the best he can be for your daughter." He turned to the groom and bride and said, "To Riley, we are happy to welcome you to our family. Philip, I’m really proud of you and take a good care of your wife, she’s a keeper. I hope your marriage is blessed and filled with joy." As he scanned each one of them who sat on the main table, he saw Audrey was sitting with the other bridesmaids, and he smiled at her before he finised the speech. "To end this, I have a quote I want to share. To every lovely lady bright, I wish a gallant faithful knight; To every faithful lover, too, I wish a trusting lady true." he said to everybody, but his eyes were on Audrey. Peter turned at the guests and raised his glass, "Here’s to the groom and the bride."

((that was... not bad. Good job, Pete!))
((Well, Rania supossed to sit between Peter and the groomsmen, since she's Philip's mom.))
((She's just going to babble. I'm more interested to hear what Rania wants to say. XDDDD))
((XD alright. Rania sat at the table, in between Peter and William (?)
*wipes tears from eyes at Peter's speech*
Yes, I'm quite excited to see what Rania's going to say, myself.))

((Alright, I'm just gonna keep going. :P))
"Alright, my turn." Emery got up from her chair when Peter finished his speech and gestured at Emery to come and do her part. He handed her the microphone before he walked to the main table and sat next to Philip.
"Don't make me do that again," he whispered tonelessly to Philip. "I have no complain about being a bestman, except for that... speech thing."
.
"Thank you, Linus." Emery nodded at one of the waiter who brought her the glass and she looked at the guests with a big, happy smile. "Hello, everyone. For you who doesn’t know me, my name is Emery Hollister. I’m one of these few people who witnesses how…" She turned at Philip and Riley and moved her open hand, gesturing a circle, "This happened, from the very beginning." she said.
"Riley and I met here, on this very palace, and then we were travelling together after The Selection ended. When I dropped her back to the Palace few weeks ago to get married, she asked me to be the maid of honour. Then I realized, even thought I officialy became the maid of honour after she asked me, Riley already tricked me into giving her the longest bridal shower in the history, which was, for two years." Emery shrugged and followed by small laughter from the guests.
"I’m gonna start with telling you all my first conversation ever with Riley. We were at the dining hall and Philip came in, and actually he did absolutely nothing wrong, but then she looked over me and suddenly said, 'Does he seem full of himself to you?'." Emery said, impersonation how Riley once told her. She glanced at them, wondered what their reaction would be. "Well, marshmallow, you’re married to him now, didn’t see that coming before, did you?" she smirked, and the guests were laughing again
."In my opinion, opposite does attract. But I also believe that two people can really work on their differences, and find that they’re actually not so different at all, they are fitting into each other’s blank space, and that’s the whole point of settling in with your soulmate, the one who has the half of puzzle pieces and together you two can complete it." Emery turned to the guests and continued, "I wish I can tell you all, a more romantic side of their love story, instead of silly and awkward one, but I guess they keep that to theirshelves. Which is good, because like all great love stories, it should be a magical, bittersweet experience you don’t need to share with anybody else." she paused and turned again at the main table. Part of her just wanted to run and gave Riley a hug of a lifetime but she needed to finish her speech. "Okay, before you are all confused by hearing me babble all day long, I’m just gonna make it quick. Riley, I love you, you’re my dearest friend in the whole world and there’s nothing else more joyful than seeing you in that dress and married to the guy you love the most, and able to say this: I told you so." she winked at her. "Philip, I’m gonna say this again, and I hope you really keep it in mind. Don't let go on that girl. Look at her, you just find the rest of your life and nothing compares to that. Life’s not going to be completely smooth from now on, but in the darkest day, just remember that she’s your silver lining. And vice versa."
"Let’s all raise your glass and be thankful for this wonderful celebration. To the newly wed Philip and Riley Shreave." she said, raising her glass up high. "Thank you all, have a great day."

((Emery, who the hell is this Linus guy?))
"I'm not gonna make it easy for you," Peter smirked. "Sure you can make a better toast than me, but I will turn into... what's the term again? Groomzilla on you,"
.
Emery went back to her seat and she looked at her newly wed friends, "I was fabulous, you don't need to say it. And you're welcome." she said with a smirk.

((Isn't she the cutest?? :"3))
Echo chuckled here and there at Emery's comments. She watched though silently as she came back to her seat beside her. (( ? Right? ))(( Would Wecho's wedding be before Philly's or after?? In retrospect. ))
((Riley's parents sat next to Emery actually. XP))
((I'm going into a deep investigation on this Linus guy. Peter had to grab his own glass but someone brought it to Emery?!))

((Ikr?! That's actually how I imagined their wedding would be. Where Echo doesn't need to wear something fluffy and bride-ly, just a cute white babydoll and sandals, and William in white shirt and pants and two buttons undone, you know... Like something people wear when they're on a relaxing cruise trip in the middle of a summer day))

(( Ahhhhhh fangirling! I love that! That makes me ask another question.......are we doing a Paudrey or Wecho or Louise wedding? Or even just a brief description somewhere for the fan girls to read on what their wedding was like? ))
((Well, let's hear what the others have in mind about that, but for me, I'm cool with it.))
"I'm glad you like it. And I really mean it, every word that I said." she replied with a smile. "Look at you two. Married, and so swoon." Emery said teasingly. "Already cuddling into each other in public."
"Yeah, sure, whatever you say as long as you're happy." Peter waved his hand. "Plus, I'm not even sure if I ever have the guts to propose her, for real. I mean, you know me and I--wait, why am I telling you this?"
"Philip, believe me when I say this to you," he looked at Peter seriously and tapped his shoulder, "I won't even trust you with 12% of my life. You're just gonna make fun of me." he said. "Well, it's supposed to be Dad, but he's not here, so... Mom? It's your turn to toast, you know." he glanced at Rania with a raised eyebrow.
((I'm working on Rania's speech I promise >.<
So far I've got that she's going to stand up and make a speech.))

(( Should we just jump in and toss Willian and Echo in a corner? XDLong story short: we need Bow. I suck at this. Lou-aunt is kinda cute, though. XP ))
As people spoke Louise casually listened. Her purple gown was beautiful, but she was still slightly upset she didn't get to pick. Well, at her wedding she would! With a slight sigh she scanned the area. Many people were smiling, like herself. She admired the reception, and started to think what she would want. Big chandeliers, very dramatic, maybe outside, and lots of lemonade!

But it was soon that she felt a familiar arm wrapping around her waist, pulling her up against a firm chest and into the arms of the Italian prince, Daunte Geomar Rinaldo. He smiled down at her, a half-smile much like an endearing smirk, as he pulled her to him and began to dance with her. Dancing was their thing, really, and it was first deemed their thing back at the Italian palace in Rome, probably since the first time they danced together. He wore his royal uniform like any loyal prince would and for once his brown hair was tamed, and he had not spilled anything on his clothing and had not broken anything. He looked like he wanted to, though, troubled blue eyes looking around distratctedly as they danced for--
"Where are the plates, amore mio? Shouldn't we be wishing your brother and his lovey wife years of happiness?" he whispered to her, frowning a little.

Peter sighed mutely as he walked in behind the rest of the group. He had to toast first, in front of all these people, and for the first time since he helped making this wedding happen; he actually freaked out.
