First order of business - pick a name!

Anyone creative out there with some good ideas? Maybe we can get a few and vote?

Also, I think it would probably be beneficial to have a private group. Thoughts?

Here we can discuss team name, etc, but there we could get more into strategy and know that Team Purple wouldn't be able to see.

I am not sure, but can probably figure out how to set up a private group, but I'll wait on other opinions before I do so.

I'm sure, being a private group, we'll have to have the people be friends of someone on the team to be invited.

And we would also have to invite Nicole R and Anita to our group.

I like the play on green....but all I can think of, (with festivities for tonight on the mind) is Grinch-lol

Setting up a private group is pretty simple, but yes we would all have to be friends on GR's, I am pretty sure. The person who sets it up would just invite all the members. I can help with this if needed.

I like this idea, as well. I was also only thinking Christmas, initially, though! I'm sure someone will have a fun idea!

Yes to a private group from me too - keep campaign headquarters elsewhere ;) Not that I’m worried about being very secret squirrel about it - it’s all a bit of fun - but it’s good role-play!

It’ll make it much easier to find stuff too and keep track (especially as GR doesn’t do nested conversations) - we could choose to have a few topic threads rather than one long one.

Name ... and here was I just going ‘Yay! I’m in the Green Party!’ Will think about it.

I also vote private group for all things challenge related.

Ideas for the name
-Something green themed
-Something book-themed
-Pun on a book/author/something bookish
-Name with three words, with the initials PBT (play on PBT basically).
-Something politically themed (like the plot ballot- not like POLITICAL lol).

Tequila Mockingbird, a common name in the trivia world comes to mind, something like that maybe?

Love your ideasJoi-I think we should decide on a name before we open the private group-so that it is named correctly-I have never tried to change a name in a private group before, so I don't know if it can be done.

...PBT as a source for the name...got to think on that one!

Yes, to a private group. Have you started one? I have experience as a moderator (even the unwieldy task of putting up a banner) so will volunteer to help with that if need be.

I also like the green mile readers as a name.

I'm not a Stephen King fan and think of death row with that title.

I like the idea of Emeralds like Kate said, so Emeralds are Forever, but I also like her suggestion of Greener Pastures.

Chiming in late here. I am excited and think this is an awesome team! Fair warning...I am not much of a reading pre-planner, so no list of books for each poll from me.

Name: should be short...no more than 2 words and visual so we can have a logo in a banner perhaps?

Green Mile is not a good association for me.

But green brings to mind trees, grass, jealousy, envy, leaves or leaf, money, lucre, new, rebirth, naive, young, environmental, fresh.

Coincidentally NY has a Green Party - liberal leaning.

Phrases: going green, green as grass, green pastures, green with envy, green-eyed,

Colors: Seagreen, jade, all those tree greens

Of course trees, leaves and books go hand in hand

Then there are leprecauns...witches are often green... and Dragons!

How about Jade Dragon Team ?!?

All - I just sent 'friend' requests to all team members not already so. I tried to put 'go green team' message with each...may have missed a couple.
