Alex | 2736 comments Just out of curiosity, would a document that is only available as a PDF be considered a book or not?

The above website is dedicated to it and the author has been published and has books on GR - Tom Brown. Plus, it's for sale on Amazon.

I rejected it since I figured it should be published to go on the site, but I'm not absolutely certain since it's on Amazon. Anyone know for sure?

Alex | 2736 comments Huh. I never would have guessed. Thanks for the info! :)

Z-squared | 8575 comments self-publishing, including to one's own website or in downloadable ebook formats (like .pdfs) is still considered published for the purposes of Goodreads. there are exceptions -- works in progress, deleted scenes, so-called 'bonuses' or 'extras' that can't stand alone, etc. but in this instance, it's OK to create a goodreads record for this work.

Alex | 2736 comments Huh, and you'd just leave the publisher and publication date fields blank? Or is the author considered the publisher? And would you use the ASIN even thought it's not a kindle edition, or just leave it blank?

Z-squared | 8575 comments No ASIN. Those are only for kindle and audible books. And yeah, I'd probably leave those blank, unless they're included somewhere on the website. You could also include the book's official website URL, though.
