BYL Reading Challenge discussion

Historical fantasy is a fun genre to explore. If you aren't familiar with it, historical fantasy is a sub-genre of fantasy that encompasses the Middle Ages, as well as sometimes other eras, and simply represents fictitious versions of historic events.

I've been meaning to read The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker for ages. It's written by a friend of a friend & comes highly recommended! I'll definitely pick that one for this category.

It's one of my favorite books from this year. It's such a beautifully written story. I have heard that their is a sequel in the works, but no release date as of yet.

I'm reading for this, so far I'm really enjoying it! 😊

I just completed the enthralling story The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. I definitely recommend it.

I read Beloved by Toni Morrison. I didn’t even realize it would fit this category before I read it. Really great book, but definitely a heavier read.
