So You Want to Be a Wizard discussion

I remember reading a book along with So You Want to Be a Wizard when I was quite young and I cannot for the life of me remember what the other book was titled.

It was a children's fantasy(?) chapter book I read in the early 2000 when I was in elementary school. I can't quite remember the plot but I know that the protagonist was a young girl and that her and her father were traveling for some reason. They find an old woman who lives in a house made out of books (not literally, but like all the walls are lined in books, the stairs are lined in books, there's book in cupboards in the kitchen etc etc etc). The young girl and the old woman really hit it off because they both love books so much and the old woman has the young girl read to her. But I don't think the old woman liked the father very much at all.

You would think that a house made of books would be something easily google-able but google has yielded nothing thus far! Help a fellow book reader out.
