I don't blame him for being shocked. I was shocked. He had to rethink every opinion he had about her and her son. He thought he had her figured and she threw him a real spammer.
I don't blame him either. I was definitely shocked. She really did shock him as he thought he had her figured out.
It's easy to understand when he believed she was a MOTHER. Wow. He had every right to be upset. And I think he was also upset with himself for the way he took her. I think he'd like to think he would have been gentler - though I'm not sure he could have.

I agree. He's really fighting with his emotions at this point - and he's badly losing! lol

His shock and anger were understandable given the circumstances. I really felt for him in this scene and the next sexual encounter when he felt he was defiling an innocent. His memories of his mother's abuse only compounded his guilt.
All new feelings for this man with no experience or training on how to sort it all out. He was rudderless and all those memories involving his mother resurfaced. Thank goodness for his friends.
The idea that Argent would take a woman's virginity was not even on his radar; he only used prostitutes to slake his needs. His assumption that Millie was Jakub's birth mother just didn't leave room for the reality. He was absolutely shocked, and perhaps he equated her deal with him to still be rape under those circumstances. How could sex between them be consensual when the alternative was murder?

To be honest, my take on it was more like Christopher's. Even though I really like his character, it cannot be said that his and Millie's first encounter was 100% consensual.
