At least he is going to be killing the "bad guys" as Scotland Yard deems them. Lets hope Scotland Yard knows exactly who the bad guys are. Dorian and Argent would have been on their list not too recently.
I think so, yes. I like the author's resolution of at least making him a "legal" killer now. And, he will only be killing those who are designated as evil by Scotland Yard.
Like Robin said, both Argent and Damian would have been on a Scotland Yard List until recently. I'm going to trust that any assignment Argent receives he is going to do his own due diligence on them.
I cannot say he was redeemed because I'm not sure there was anything to redeem. Perhaps I'm just bloodthirsty, but given the time period in which justice was so often not carried out, I'm not feeling much sympathy for Christopher's "jobs". That said, I do like the fact that he will now be using his talents in an official capacity on the "right" side of the law.
Lauren, I think we’re jaded by the Sebastian St. Cyr and Gaslight Mystery series where we have learned a lot of disappointing realities about justice in this era. Men in power weren’t always subject to the same rule of law. Christopher isn’t so awful in comparison.
That said, I’m glad he gets to operate in the light from now on.

I have to admit that, when the first offer was made to make them sanctioned killers, I thought of 007 -- the first James Bonds!
I think its more like the London Metropolitan Police Special Branchhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special...
