The story is built around a known historical fact. How accurate are the facts about the city of Mainz and the working of the guilds?

I think its really pretty good. After finishing this book I read
The Gutenberg Revolution: A History of Print Culture. Not a whole lot is known about Gutenberg so much of the book was built around what is known about the guilds that opperated at the time.
