Reading German Books in 2020 discussion

A tour in 12 stages, so I hope ...

Between my shelves and the library shelves I built a POP (pile of possibilities):

Books translated to english:
- shift sleepers (tr. Vegan Ewing) or Schlafgänger by Dorothee Elmiger
- River or Am Fluss by Esther Kinsky
- Grand Hotel (tr. by Basil Creighton) or Menschen im Hotel by Vicki Baum
- Love and Death in Bali (tr. by Basil Creighton) or Liebe und Tod auf Bali by Vicki Baum
- Artificial Silk Girl or Das kunstseidene Mädchen by Irmgard Keun
- Transit (tr. Margot Bettauer Dembo) by Anna Seghers
- The murderer in Ruins or Der Trümmermörder (Tr. by Peter Milar) by Cay Rademacher)

For these books I didn't find a translation to english, but some of them had translations to other laguages:
- Das Eigentliche by Iris Hanika
- Effingers by Gabriele Tergit
- Blasmusikpop oder wie die Wissenschaft in die Berge kam by Vea Kaiser
- Fräulein Nettes kurzer Sommer by Karen Duve
- Babel by Kenah Cusanit
- Der Idiot des 21. Jahrhunderts by Michael Kleeberg

So I'll put the books in the shelf currently reading as soon I begin to read them.

3rd. Step:

Broken Glass Park or Scherbenpark von Alina Bronsky

This one was great! The characters, the pace and the language were fantastic.

4th. Step

von Alina Bronsky (or Baba Dunja's Last Love)

It was a 3,5 Stars: great humor and language, but it was too short. I missed the development of some themes. It was ok.
