Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments When people think of the month of December or the holiday of Christmas, many of them think of the same things. Here are a list of 10 things that many people think of right away. Each item will have a reading requirement.

Start Date: December 1st, 2014
End Date: December 31st, 2014

Since this is only a month long, you only need to read 5 books to complete this challenge. However, you may read more than that if you want to go all out or are feeling extra motivated.

1. Christmas Tree: Colorful Cover
Since a Christmas tree is usually very colorful and bright, read a book with a very colorful cover. It has to have over 4 colors on the cover.

2. Candy Cane: J Author
Candy canes are shaped like a "J" so read a book where the author's first or last name begins with a J.

3. Ornaments: Circular Cover
Lots of ornaments are circularly shaped so read a book that has some sort of circle on the cover. (view spoiler)

4. Presents: Gifted To You
Many people get presents during the holiday season so read a book that was gifted to you whether it was for your birthday, a holiday, or any other reason.

5. Santa: Big Book
After Santa eats all of those cookies, he must get pretty large! Read a book with 400 or more pages.

6. Cookies: Sweet Book
Many people bake during the holiday season and cookies seem to always be baking! If you have a sweet tooth, you probably like cookies so read a really sweet or fluffy book.

7. Gingerbread Man: Male PoV
Although there are Gingerbread women, it's usually a Gingerbread man so read a book that has a male point of view.

8. Reindeer: Large Series
Santa has 8 reindeer so read a book that is part of a very large series. This has to be a series with over 6 books. It doesn't matter if you are reading the first, second, or tenth book in the series.

9. Elves: Short Book
In most movies, elves are very short so read a book that has under 300 pages.

10. Mistletoe: People Kissing
Everyone wishes to have a kiss under the mistletoe during the holiday season so read a book that has people kissing on the cover.

Happy Holidays and Good luck!
