We're reading The Only Plane in the Sky for January Buddy Reads! Please read it with us! I'm super excited about this one, honestly, because I've wanted to read about 9/11 for a long time. Who will be reading with us?

It’s SUPER good so far Harper, although I’ve been considering DNFing cause of the excessive language. I hope it gets a little better after all the crazy stuff 😁

Is it getting better? Cause I just got the book in, and I'm really excited, but afraid I'm going to love it but have to stop because of the language. We'll see!

I finished it. I haven’t posted a review and I probably won’t for a day or two (lol) but it didn’t get much better. It was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL, but the language was a lot.
God’s name was taken in vain about 35 times (ouch, that hurts my eyes). S***, f***, and h*** were all used 8 or 9 times. A few uses of b*****, d***, a**. Jesus’/ Christ’s name was also taken in vain once or twice.

Oof, yeah, that's not great, but I think I'll still try it. Thanks for that info, though!

Okay, sounds good! I hope you like it as much as me. It would’ve been a five star read, but I really felt I should take off a star for language :/

Yeah, the language is pretty bad, but it's SO GOOD! I'm really loving it. It's hard to read, so I'm going pretty slow. Hard to read because of how heavy and recent it is. My mom was in NYC when it happened, so she said she wouldn't be able to read it. But, yeah, it's so sad!!

Ikr? It’s such a good book, but yes, it’s very hard to read. I can imagine that would be horrible!! It was bad enough for my parents and they were both in NC at the time. 😔

Yeah, it's really rough, and people don't really talk about it, because it's not quite history, although it really did change the world, it's just like it happened yesterday, so no one talks about it. Kids don't know about it. It's really sad! But, yeah, super good!

Nope! I'm not even that close. Lol I've had to put it on hold, so I could finish a couple of other books before they go back to the library, but I'm starting back on it! Hopefully, I make some headway tonight!
