(Kaganaq means Wolf in the Alutiiq tongue) The mountain was named such for the fact that even when Wolves do not live on Kodiak Island their stories stuck with the Alutiiq people long enough for them to believe that the wolf spirits roamed the land they could never touch before.

Julia Arya took a detour on her way home from talking to Ezekiel. She parked her truck on the sandy shore, sighing. Arya stripped, looking around to make sure nobody was nearby. She was very self conscious. Arya laid her cloths in the trunk of her truck and turned into a wolf. Her blonde fur was thick and she could taste the salty wind that hit her fur. Arya ran from her truck, wanting to let out a lonely, sad howl. Instead, she kept it inside, only letting out a small whimper.
Arya sat down in the sand, the water lapping by her paws. If you looked at her from a distance, you would think she was a weird polar bear. But if you came closer, maybe a large golden retriever, one mixed with a Great Dane or something. But you would be very mistaken.

Salem was in his wolf form as a silver wolf as he padded along the shore staying low as he was still hidden in the tree line. He raced out just as the deer raced out and he charged with a harsh growl that would strike the fear into any living creature the deer was stunned and froze only for a moments notice it was taken out by Salem. It was dark and the moonlight was hidden behind the clouds, but one could stills ee silhouettes and whatever was closer. Salem had no mind to pay attention as he broke the deer's neck and began to feed. He was starving and needing to feed his inner wolf. The diner earlier was good, but this was what he needed.

message 4: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya scented the salty air again. This time though, she was careful. Arya quietly padded over to where the scent of the blood was, making sure to stay downwind. It was the rogue she had seen earlier. And got herself into a hole because of. Arya watched him from the shadows, then stepped out with a growl. She shown under the moonlight like a firefly in the darkness of night. Arya bared her sharp fangs, the fur on the back of her neck standing up.
With strong but clear emotions, she said, It's you again! Do you realize that now I'm digging my own grave because I met you? That I have to stay away from everyone and LOCKED UP IN MY OWN HOME? Arya pawed the ground angrily.

Salem didn't understand Arya, but the growl was certainly low forms of anger. Salem got low and hunched and returned the growl. He was not abotu to have to challenge this girl because that was the last thing he wanted on his list. Salem felt compelled to jump at her and then again he felt compelled to run. He held his ground not moving at all as blood dripped from his mouth. He was glowing like the moon each time it peaked form the harsh clouds that swirled with snow.

message 6: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya kept her head low, her eyes locked on Salem's. She figured that he couldn't understand her, but she knew that she needed to make him. Arya padded closer to him, angrily eyeing the innocent deer that he killed. It was a decent sized buck, and on sniffing him, Arya recognized the scent. He was probably going to have cute fawns, but not anymore. Arya gently licked the deer's cheek, her eyes full of sorrow.
When she looked back up at Salem, her eyes were much more wrathful. Arya shifted her weight, looking as though she was about to jump at Salem. She let out another growl, this one low and long.

Salem backed up for a moment not abotu to start anything because that meant death without a doubt. He showed all of his teeth and kept his tail extended showing no fear and dominance even. He was not abotu to have a meal taken from him by some pack wolf. he had no quarrel with her unless her scent matched the one he tracked and it didn't.

message 8: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya glanced at the buck and couldn't take any longer. She lashed her tail, her claws scrapping the ground. Arya leaped at Salem, aiming for his shoulder to knock him down. She blamed him for everything that was happening. Having to stay locked up in her own house. Having to have some "partner" when she didn't want one. Having to stand the looks of some Rogue who happened to steal the Alpha's heart. Having her loyalty questioned. Everything.

Salem jumped and rolled to the side before she could make contact but found his back end hit pretty hard. Salem was sure she was simply being aggressive, but then again he was no longer sure if this was the same she-wolf. Arya was pushing past shock in hsi mind. What was wrong with her. she was nice enough to help him out before hand, but now she was attacking him. Was it her orders. Was she discovered to be around him? What was happening. He didn't want to kill someone who offered hima ride, but then agian perhaps it was to get used to his scent to kill him later. He could trust no one and he was sure of it even aftr so long of being a Werewolf. He turned quickly on hsi feet sliding in the sand, but it seemed to have happened in a shcoking wave. On the shore at the base of the mountain high tide came in with a force like no other as the moon shined down from the clouds a large wave came into light as it pounded the shoreline one after the other shoving deer, and both wolves agianst the sharply edged rocked that banked the tiny beach.

message 10: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya heard the wave, and flicking her ears, leaped to a safe spot in the rocks. Unfortunately, her leg slipped under her and she almost fell back into the water. On pulling herself back onto the rock, Aya felt a sharp pain in her leg. Lifting it up and keeping it close to her body, she whimpered as her golden fur was stained crimson. Arya put her leg down, trying to put weight on it, but almost fell again. She let out a soft whimper and limped higher up the rocks. Arya looked back down at Salem, and felt bad for attacking him. He had been swept into a wave, but she wasn't exactly sure where he was. She limped towards more of the rocks, looking down for him. Arya did not want to kill him, she had only wanted to frighten him. And make him leave.

Salem popped up barking for air trying to get out of the undertow, but it happened to quick as another large wave crashed directly onto him. He began to spin inside the wave feeling the current pull and tug in two different directions and he knew whichever one he decided to follow could get him hit by rocks or carried out to sea. Bad thing abotu being in wolf form was that wolves can't hold their breath underwater. He wasn't able to concentrate long enough to shift human and the waves just kept pounding in no matter how much he tried coming up to get a breath. At last his vision went blurry and everything went from red to black as the waves jerked him back and forth and he lost all consciousness. He saw hismelf in the water as a human and he saw his wife and hsi son. They were inviting him in a giggling at something funny. He smiled only for hsi wife to raise up and be mutilated with scratches all over her face and chest making her nearly unable to be recognized. "It's not your time yet..." She siad as if nothing was wrong and instantly Salem took in a deep breath full of icy salt water. He gasped exhaling bubbles as he leaped up from the water realizing he was human now, btu that didn't make it nay better as he was unable to get his footing right trying to make it to what appeared to be the wolf.

message 12: by Julia (new)

Julia Thanking God for being a werewolf, Arya quickly had healed herself. Flexing her muscles, she gracefully leaped into the familiar waters. The waves were strong and huge, yes, but Arya was big and an excellent swimmer. She made her way towards Salem, using the waves and the strong tidal waves to get to him. Arya let out a sneeze as a small bit of seaweed got on her nose. Soon, she was next to Salem, nudging his hand with her nose, trying to get him to hold on to her. As another big wave hit, she gently bounced forwards then backwards on its back. The sight may have looked funny, but Arya knew what she was doing.

Salem had swallowed way too much water at this point and were he human it would have already drowned him, but for now he was simply half conscious and half unconscious as each wave seemed to lighten up a bit now hightide had settled. He felt something solid against him and his body reacted on self preservation instinct lifeless or not he held an arm slightly around Arya barely able to hold on as the current tugged at them with a low swell that meant strong undertows.

message 14: by Julia (new)

Julia Feeling the wave pull in, Arya turned a little in the water. As soon as the undertow stopped and a wave came, she kicked as hard and fast as she could, nearing a clearing of the shore. They were constantly being pulled towards the ocean, and then forcefully moving forward. Progress was slow, but Arya was not about to give up. She had put herself and Salem in that mess, and she would get them out. And she had promised her Alpha that she would stay safe. She was supposed to be at her house, locked in and being safe. Which is something that nobody would want, but especially not Arya.

Salem was feeling nothing but water in his lungs and it made him sick. He was about to just give up. He could only see blurred images of solid rock slowly coming closer. His grip was loosening on Arya as even a werewolf can be drowned. He tried hsi hardest to keep hold of the wolf, but it was getting harder as the further from the open sea they got the stronger the undertow would gather to pull them back.

message 16: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya felt Salem's grip weaken, so she took his arm in her mouth, gently enough not to hurt him, but strong enough so that he wouldn't get washed away. Once they reached the shore, Arya carefully pulled Salem out of the water. Sneezing on the salt water, she pulled them out of the water. Arya looked back at Salem, who had water in his lungs and had blacked out, if he still wasn't out.

Salem couldn't move. It may not be hsi time, but he was drowning. On the inside he was still alive, but his heart and lungs were not working the way they were supposed to. Was this what death felt like. Being locked in one's own subconscious mind for eternity until your body decomposes?

message 18: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya looked at Salem, realizing that she could only save him in her human form. With a growl, she changed. Arya listened to his breathing, which sounded like he was drowning. So, she pushed hard five times on his stomach, which could potentially have him cough up the water locked into his lungs. Arya wasn't about to let somebody that she just met die. Even if she was in a huge mountain of trouble because of them.

Salem did as expected the water came up as he coughed and instantly his heart began going into overdrive to fix whatever the problem might have been on the inside. He opened his eyes looking at her as colour came back into his face. "You saved me...why? I'ma Rogue." He said breathing heavily.

message 20: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya quickly backed away and covered herself by sitting in a little ball, facing sideways from him. "It would have been my fault if you had died, and I can't have that. Not right now." Arya said, shaking her head. "All of this mess that I'm in... I couldn't deal with anything else added to the mountain of it all." she added, shrugging. Arya now looked away from Salem, and instead at the ocean waves. It was being fairly violent, which was usual for it in that area.

Salem frowned, "You aren't like most pack wolves are you? Most could kill a Rogue or even let one die without losing any sleep. What gives you a conscience to claim Werewolves the same as mortals?" Werewolf morals and Mortal morals were two different things. In human law it was illegal to kill...in werewolf law you can kill anything that is not in your pack.

message 22: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya tilted her head. "Just because I can kill doesn't mean that I want to. I grew up with human morals, and when I was turned... They didn't change much, I guess." she said. Arya and her mother were the two most religious in her family. Arya never hesitated to send up a prayer to the Lord and ask him for help. She found it comforting. The only reason she didn't go nuts when she was turned was because of her faith. Looking back at Salem, she added, "I'm a faithful person. I have my own morals to follow. They may be a bit... Unconventional, I guess. And I'll kill if I need to, I just don't like to."

Salem nodded crawling back a bit from her with his knee up to cover his dick form vision. "Well, that's good to know..one of my morals is try nto to spend too much time naked in front of a woman unless you plan on having sex or already have. I haven't and don't think you plan on it so I'm leaving. He said standing weak, but at least he was standing.

message 24: by Julia (new)

Julia "No, you sit back down. I'll be right back, with cloths." Arya said sternly, easily going back into her wolf form. She ran off at top speed to her truck. Once there, she changed back into a girl again. Arya quickly put on her own cloths, then got a blanket and some old guys' cloths that she kept with her in case something like this happened. Arya walked back down to where Salem was, and threw the cloths at him. "I'm not sure if they'll fit, but they're cloths nonetheless." she said with a shrug.

Salem looked at them awkwardly, "Um, do you always carry around random guys clothes in your vehicle? "He asked looking at them and then at ehr. "These look a little big for you." he said pulling the shorts pants on first. He was used ot not having underwear because when you are a werewolf bouncing between forms it becomes pointless to have any. Although it was nice to have the occasional tucking comfort of boxer briefs. He then pulled on the black A-shirt. "Um, thank you." He said feeling bad if he didn't say thanks.

message 26: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya laughed, smiling. "Yes, I actually do. And it's not a problem, since they are always with me. There's really no need to thank me." she said, blushing. Her bare feet were cold in the sand, her hair whipping around her face. Reaching into her pocket, Arya pulled out a hair tie. Taking all of her hair, or almost all of it, she put it in a simple bun so it wouldn't be in her way. "I always bring spare cloths with me, for a guy, and a girl. Then, obviously, myself." Arya said with a shrug. After being a werewolf for long enough, you just got used to bringing cloths wherever you went. But even after all of these years, Arya was still not comfortable in her own skin.

Salem nodded, "Right...well if you give me achance to get to my clothes I cna give you these back...I wouldn't want to take from you. I am on a mission and it's not to disturb your pack. I'm in search of the one who turned me. I have no care for fighting. Why did you attack me anyway? "He asked curiously as he stood a bit straighter.

message 28: by Julia (new)

Julia Arya turned scarlet. "Well... I told my Alpha about the one that we ran into... And how he threatened me with death... And my Alpha told me to stay at my house away from others. To be safe. And I came here before I was to go home... And I saw you... And I blamed my... Predicament on you... So, since I was angry, I let my temper get the better of me and I attacked you." she said suddenly. "I wasn't going to hurt you... Not badly, at least." Arya added, casting her eyes towards the ground.

Salem shook his head, "Wow, talk about a typical female...always letting their emotions control their actions. "He joked. This was the first time he smiled in a very long time and he was actually abotu to laugh if it didn't seem so off for him to do such a thing.

message 30: by Julia (new)

Julia "Oh really? Because if I wanted to-" Arya started. Realizing that he was joking, she blushed and said, "Oh... sorry." Arya smiled and rubbed her arms, which were kind of cold. "But yeah... I guess it is." Arya laughed, feeling all of the weight on her shoulders lighten. "Well, I probably should get back to my house now..." she started.

Salem frowned, "Right...and I should probably get back to hiding out." He said turning from her for a moment..."Are oyu alright to get home? "He asked not wanting her to get in another fight that would cause waves and blood to be hitting the rocks.

message 32: by Julia (new)

Julia "Yeah... Why wouldn't I be?" Arya said, looking at Salem with a mix of curiosity and wariness. She could tell that he hadn't met back up with that strange wolf that claimed to be an alpha. Or had met anyone else in her pack. "Of course I'll be fine." Arya added, sounding a bit flustered. She hated going to what would be a "lock down" in her own home. But her Alpha told her to do so, and she would do it.

Salem nodded, "Right, well watch out for that Greyridge. they seem dangerous..and watch out for other Rogues." He added stepping a few more feet from her.

Julia Arya laughed. "I know I'll be fine. You need to watch out for them yourself, since you're alone." she said. Arya started to walk away, but looked back with a frown. "You will be okay, right?" she inquired, thinking about how there was an entire pack out there that wasn't hers.

Salem smirked easily putting up a wall to show a facade. "I'm fine. I cna't handle those wolves with no problem. I have a place to hide out that hopefully not eventhey could scent out." He promised referring to the mountain having a large limestone rock that had a hole in it making a small cave under a large pine.

message 36: by Julia (new)

Julia "Stay safe then." Arya murmured, her voice getting lost in the wind. Her long, strong legs easily navigated the area back to her truck, and she was there in no time. Unlocking the car, she got inside. Arya put her head in her hands and let out a sigh.

Salem moved into the woods quickly and Arya's vehicle was still in view as he slid under the rock. He watched closely to smell the air for a bit before putting his guard down.
