Zayn walked along the black beach. Before having secretly killed the Alpha he had talked about to his old friend a new pack invading who were just as deadly and destructive to mortals as the Pale Moon pack was who ran Old Harbor. He knew they would have to react soon take the town and fortify it, but the ALpha chose to wait things out...Zayn disagreed and already was jealous for power before he killed him. Not to mention he never got the power he was able to claim. Instead he was forced into awaiting the arrival of the Alpha's darling little sister who ran off for college. Now Zayn knew he had to take her out next for as long as no one was suspicious of what actions he had already taken.
Luke sat on the beach with his eyes closed. His mind was racing through all of his memories of them. Playing with his mother as a child. Attempting to flirt with a girl. Then not in England, but France. Normandy, France. Air raids and sirens. Gunshots and pellets. Near misses and hits, just to be healed seconds later. Luke vividly relived his friends who died on that beach. He should have died too, if he was human.
Luke stood up and ran a hand through his hair. He walked along the beach, letting the cold water hit his feet. Luke had originally come to the beach to relax, as he had pushed Normandy to the back of his mind. But being there on the foggy, cold day he couldn't help but relive it.
Bailey was walking barefoot with a nodded jacket on with shorts. She was trying hard to not be around Ryne because he's still mad at her.She wasn't paying attention either so she ran into Luke which made her unsteady on her feet. "Ah," she squealed out as she lost her valence and ended up in her but in the sand.
"Goodness, are you okay?" Luke asked, the gentleman in him coming out. His swim shorts could easily have passed for regular shorts, and he was wearing a plain navy tshirt. Luke offered her his hand, saying, "My name is Luke." His English accent was still rather thick even though he had spent a good amount of time in the States.
((Gtg))
Bailey took his hand after she pulled herself up. "Bailey," her Yankee accent poking through her words. It was easy to tell she was from New York with the accent. "I'm sorry to have run into, I wasn't paying attention. Too caught up in trying to hide I guess," she mumbled the last part. It was easy to feel from how she was dressed so she wasn't worried.
"New York, huh? I loved it there..." Luke said, commenting on her accent. "I'm from England, obviously." He chuckled, smiling. "Nice to meet you Bailey. Who are you hiding from though? You're not in a pack around here though, are you?" Luke inquired. He hated asking that question, since it made him seem like a nervous wreck. But, since being held by Nazis, in a way, he was. Luke wasn't worried if she was from a pack, as he had pure Alpha blood running through his veins, but hated violence since, again, the Nazis.
((Maybe another comment, lol))
Bailey smile and nodded her head. "My brother and I've never been in a pack my whole life." She didn't actually know if she was turned or born since she never knew her mother or her father. "Well if we go technical he's not my brother but him and his twin took me in like a sister." She was nervous and paranoid so she was rambling about nothing. "I was a underground fighter in New York too but they made me stop and we moved here where I'm easily bored," she muttered as a whisper
"I see... A fighter, eh? At least you've never seen war. It can turn the best people into monsters." Luke said, rubbing his chin. "I never had siblings but my comrades were like brothers to me." Luke shrugged, realizing that he was rambling. "Why did you all move here if you are bored easily then? I mean, New York is great and everything. Perfect for werewolves since we can easily fit in. And then here's a little town in Alaska in the middle of nowhere."
Bailey laughed at his question with a shake of her head. "They are eight two and have been in the same house for forty years. Try wanted a new start, and I was a runaway kid so what better to do then move." She actually really didn't care who old the Taylor brothers were because they were like family to her and it made her happy. "Besides they also had to run from their past."
Luke nodded. Eighty two wasn't that old for him, since he was over one hundred. "Running away from their pasts, eh? Now that is something I can relate to." he said. "But my father let me run away too..." Luke shook his head, knowing that remembering his past would only make it worse.
Bailey shrugged at him. "Big gang bosses in the early sixties," she ran a hand through her wavy blonde hair. "I was actually orphaned at birth and was in foster homes since then." She had a rough past but it only made her who she was and it was what she was know to now. "Anyways what brought you to the beach?"
"Gang bosses, huh?" Luke said, chuckling. "The beach... Well, they used to be quite relaxing a would normally help calm remembering my past. But with the fog and everything here, it's strangely like Normandy." he admitted, shaking his head. That part of the war wasn't quite as bad for him; it was a few battles after it that was. Trying to change the subject off of himself and the distant past, Luke said, "So you came here because you think that your brother won't find you here? Don't you have two brothers though?"
"Kane and Ryne Taylor, were Scottish gang bosses back when they was in their twenties." Bailey listened and realized he was talking about Normandy, France which was where American soldiers invaded into France on June 6, 1944, D-Day. "Kane is out talking to our friend and is okay on me sneaking out sometimes but Ryne isn't, he goes all physco crazy when he finds me."
Luke chuckled again. Over possessive siblings were never a problem for him. He was an only child and only had friends who he considered brothers during the war, but were all dead now. "Scottish too?" Luke added, rubbing his chin. "From actual Scotland or only Scottish?" Luke questioned, wanting clarification on which. A lot of British people were not very fond of the Scottish, and they felt the same way. Luke did not mind them, as he tended to keep an open mind.
"They were burn in New York but their father I think was from Scotland. Also Taylor is a Scottish last name." Bailey pulled her hair up in a ponytail. She personally was related but took up Taylor so no one would think of Bailey Jameson. "They are really fluffy teddy bears one you get to know them and they trust you.
"I'm sure they are." Luke said, nodding. Men in his time were not fluffy teddy bears, they were actual bears. But he had adjusted to things over time and was starting to be more used to sayings. Since a person can't actually be a teddy bear because they are not living beings.
Bailey nodded with a goofy grin before her phone rang. She looked at it and sighed before putting it away. It was Ryne calling her the eighth time that day so she was trying to ignore him with all cost. "I also get you don't completely get what all my sayings are because the guys don't either." She was used to it since always got confused looks and she had to explain to them.
"To be honest? Not really. I mean, I could have understood more... But I lived in Canada for longer than I thought before I moved here." Luke admitted. "What year is it again? It's the twenty first century... So two thousand and what?" he inquired, only slightly ashamed of himself. Over time, Luke learned that it was better to be frank and straightforward so that he could understand an situation better and not feel unintelligent.
Bailey nodded at him in understanding. She wasn't completely stupid but was blonde at times. "Its understandable since you've been around awhile but I'm still young." She admired his bluntness because it made it easier to understand things about him.
Luke shrugged and replied, "In a way, we're all young. If we have forever to live, we could always be considered young." He ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. "I guess it's understandable. Only if you're calling me old." Luke added, joking around.
Bailey laughed with a nod. "It depends on how you take it because I'm like eighteen and my brothers are eighty two but look twenty one." She always found it amazing on how werewolf's bodies hardly change once matured or bitten.
"I'm just over one hundred and look about twenty." Luke said, shrugging. "After the war when I found my father, he looked the same as he did when I was ten. Well, with a different haircut though." Luke laughed, smiling. He liked Bailey and believed her to be a very nice girl.
Bailey was no nice girl she was hard core and rather aggressive but only when she was it a bad mood or fighting. She nodded at him with a smile, "its sad to think we don't age because when I was little I wanted to grow odd with the love of my life," she shook her head at the stupid dream. She couldn't help that she was this way nor did she notice until she shifted. Her mother died at birth so she was in foster care.
"Oh," Was all Luke said. He didn't share the same dream, since he was born a werewolf. His parents didn't grow old, but he never saw his mother after the war either. Finding the love of Luke's life was something interesting. Since falling for that Healer wolf and finding out that she had a mate, love was something that he never thought of or searched for.
"It changed after I shifted though." Bailey didn't know much about her mother or what happened before she was born. A werewolf was the cause of her premature birth as well as the death of unknown mom. "I mean I never knew what I was until I shifted several years ago." That was a surprising statement because most knew either because their parents were werewolf or they were bitten.
"Um, okay." Luke said, shrugging. He wasn't really sure why she was telling him all about her life. He was almost afraid that she was trying to get him to like her so that she could take advantage of him and kill him. Luke shook the thought away, still tense and nervous. He didn't want to say much more about his past, even though Bailey was continually talking about hers, though not exactly saying everything either.
Bailey felt her phone vibrate as it started to ring. She looked at the text from Ryne with a groan. The blonde started out the way she came not saying anything to Luke. She wasn't gonna kill him since she was a rouge and he was too, it was easier that way.
"Was that your brother again?" Luke inquired. He ran a hand through his hair, realizing how bad at socializing with people he was. "I'm sorry I'm being so awkward..." Luke apologized, feeling really weird and exposed. He scratched his chin and shifted his feet uncomfortably.
Bailey stored and turned around to face him. "Yea it was my brother and he needs me home." She shook her head at his apology, "don't be I talk a lot sometimes when I'm nervous." She then started walking of again.
Luke blinked when she started walking away. He stood there for a minute or two, his brain thinking strangely slow. When he realized she was leaving, he easily ran up and caught with her. Luke wasn't even out of breath when he stopped in front of her. "Maybe we can meet up again sometime?" He inquired, shifting his feet and running a hand through his hair. "It's just... You're really nice and the first friend I've made in... Let's just say a very long time." Luke added, nervous that Bailey would get the wrong idea from him.
Bailey had to stop abruptly so she didn't run into him. She thought about his questions for awhile then nodded. "If I ever get the chance to see the sun again then, yes." She was rather serious but laughed when he said in a long time, she only had a few friends and non when she was growing up. "I gotta go now, so bye." The blonde then walked around him and started to leave once more.
Luke smiled and nodded as Bailey walked away. He continued smiling even when the fog engulfed her. Eventually he took rolled up his pants to his knees and waded in the cold water replacing old memories with new ones. Luke was slightly curious about Bailey's brothers, and secretly hoped that maybe he could meet them one day. But on good terms so they won't have to fight.

Wolf Crest Beach gives a perfected view of Kaganaq Mountain and the Howling Peaks. Hidden from the town of Old Harbor this seems to be a spot for wild Teenage parties where their parents will never find them, but everyone was young once, just be careful to stay in the group and not wonder off for some late night fun.
