Purchased a Kindle Paperwhite. Hell has now frozen over. But four moves in four years have proved that owning so many physical books is too much of a pain for my lifestyle.

Argh! You guys are killing me! Don't you realize that those things just don't look as good on the shelf? Paper is worth it! Ebooks are evil, evil I say! j/k (kind of). ;-) lol

You're kinda not far off because I wonder what the best way will be to advertise my ebooks to my daughter or visitors to my house. For the former it's so she knows of books we already own that she can read. For the latter, it's a great conversation starter. "You've read book x? Me too!"
Hahahaha! I'll need to install a virtual bookshelf in my place then. Or I would be buried underneath the 1500 e-titles I own.

She's only 2; who knows what'll exist when she wants to read YA and adult fiction.
Came home from the library with a bag full of their sale books (I'm not sure if I fully understand the concept of a library since I seem to buy more of there books than I check out)
@ Melissa. I love friends of library sales. I see you purchased some of John Jakes books, I have them also I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Got
and
from Amazon. And only
has come in the mail so far from my Barnes & Noble Black Friday weekend shopping. I hope the rest of my books get here soon!
I went to the bookstore to buy a 2015 planner and I went home with these books instead. Still have no planner...

Sure you do, the plan is to buy books. :-)

Weeeeee, I won $40 from scratch off ticket so I made an actual purchase at Sam's Club today. I got Pegaus by Danielle Steele ( first in a long time that I have bought a Danielle Steele, heard good things about it) hardback and Ruth's Journey by Daniel McCaig in hardback. Also was informed that I will get another freebie win from Goodreads.

Hehe, you're right :)
I bought

) from under the Christmas tree and YIIIIIII!!!! I feel like dancing but I can't. He doesn't know that I know what my gift is :)
Hahaha! I tried to go on a book buying hiatus to clear some stuff off my tbr list and I lasted about a week, 5 days tops. It's too hard!!!Since my December 8th post, I've purchased:
And I gifted these:
Stephanie wrote: "Couldn't resist picking up
today."I picked this up from the library a couple of weeks ago but I still haven't gotten around to reading it. I hope it's good!
I bought 4 new books that I have been waiting for as a xmas gift to myself:
&
. Can't wait to read them!
& Two more Sherlock Holmes collections (I wanted some small editions I could toss in my bag and not worry about messing up the nice boxset.
My purchases so far include The Fantasy , The Forgotten , and The Red Badge of Courage (collectors edition). The Forgotten was pretty good; The Fantasy was AMAZING; and The Red Badge of Courage is just a classic that needed to be added to my collector edition books.
Weeeeeeee husband gave me a new Kindle to replace old 9 yr old Kindle that had working issues( maybe it will work, maybe not) It's just a small basic but it works better than the old one. Also got a Goodreads Giveaway in mail today "The Snow Garden" by Christopher Rice.
And, my daughter got me two books for Christmas "The Stolen Crown" by Susan Higgenbotham and "The King's Curse" by Philippa Gregory. Of course she wants to read them!
Only two books so far.Since I spend a lot of money for Christmas gifts and cards in December, I cannot buy a lot of books this month!! I hope Santa will give me some books...
Kalila and Dimna #1: Fables of Friendship and Betrayal
Pocket Visual Dictionary
My husband and I exchange Christmas gifts early and this year he was SO excited to give me mine... but when I opened it, it was Stephen King's latest book: Revival. I felt so bad telling him that I already own it, he felt like he failed and was so disappointed.. I kept telling him how good he did because I wanted it so bad that I already had it! So I went in and exchanged it for Yes, Please ;)... He also got me Fear Nothing by Lisa Gardner, which is the LAST book of hers (that is currently out, not including her romances or her collections). Then I went to my bookstore today and picked up one.Yes Please by Amy Poehler (hardcover)
Fear Nothing by Lisa Gardner (paperback)
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (paperback, $1)
Oh and I didn't post about my gifts from my best friend in California:Touch & Go by Lisa Gardner (paperback)
The Killing Hour: A Novel of Suspense by Lisa Gardner (paperback)
The Survivors Club by Lisa Gardner (paperback)
Gone by Lisa Gardner (hardcover)
I’ve not added new books for the last few months. The reason for this is that I spent hours listing new acquisitions (which few took note of) and cutting into my reading time. I still acquire approximately twenty-five new books per day (much more than I could ever possibly read but who cares….I have them, just in case). Kindle Buffet is a major source of these acquisitions and I highly recommend the site to all.
I have only bought 1 new one this WHOLE month. Mainly because my husband keeps saying "Don't buy anything you don't know what you might be getting for Christmas!" Which I don't know if that means I really am getting books or if he's just trying to keep me from buying any. All I know is the day after Christmas, If I didn't get any, I'm putting in a FAT order at Bookoutlet! LOLHere's my 1 new book: Dark Places
Sad...little lonely book...

I paid attention Thom, but I agree why spend your reading time when you can just recommend Kindle Buffet (which I will be checking out)
I sure hope I can give my lonely book some company, especially since book outlet is having a Boxing Day sale. Keeping my fingers crossed that you are right and I do get gift cards, or money!
Oh and I forgot about my Christmas gift to my husband...He is not a reader, BUT he really, really loves Martin Short, and on Black Friday I went to B&N and found a signed copy of his new book so I got that for him, and he was super excited!!I Must Say: My Life as a Humble Comedy Legend by Martin Short (hardcover, SIGNED!)
