Hi everyone! Perks has done some housekeeping. We had many threads that had been inactive for years and those are all in our archive area now. Folders have been cleaned up and are hopefully easier to navigate.

Our Buddy Reads folder has been cleaned out and is ready for use. Which will be the first book to be discussed?

Want to discuss one of our group reads? Those discussions can be found in our Group Books of the Month (BotM) folder. Nominations for next month's group reads are open now. You can make your nominations here.

Our Reading Challenges all have new folders. Check out some of those if you are looking for a challenge to fill your time. Also, keep watching the monthly challenge folder for our next monthly challenge which will occur in February. It will be posted in a couple of weeks. We also have Bingo and our annual UNO team challenge should be posted soon!

Our Members area is where you can introduce yourself and chat with other members. We also have other debates and discussions and games where you can interact with other members.

And as always, if you have a blog, a book coming out, or anything else you'd like to share with the group, you can do so in our newly cleaned out promotional area.

Hi all! I just want to put a quick request here:

Please do not create threads without assigning them to the appropriate folders. This creates a new folder called "general," which contains a bunch (3,000+) of old archived threads for some reason. I have been trying to work out the issue with Goodreads, but the only fix so far is to simply not create threads that are not filed properly. Any threads that are started in this manner, regardless of content, will be deleted. Thank you all for your help!

I just wanted to update everyone that our nomination and voting procedure is changing. We will be going back to only one nomination thread and poll. We will no longer be nominating and voting on themes. Instead, we will go back to having the top two books in the poll being our group reads for the month.

The nominating of books will continue to start on the 1st of the month and the voting will continue to begin on the 7th. The books will still be announced on the 15th of the month prior to when the group read begins.

ANNOUNCEMENT

I am sorry to say that after 10 years moderating this group, I will be stepping down. I have enjoyed my time moderating and will still be around to chat, but will no longer be coordinating. Please join me in welcoming Melindam as our new moderator. Thank you for taking over the moderating duties, Melinda!
