The Reading Challenge Group discussion

As we all know, Valentines day is Febuary 14th. In celebration, lets all read a book with some heart! This can be a romance, a book with pink or red cover, a heart on the cover, or anything else you can think of that is valentine-ish! Runs from January 1st to March 20th.

For this challenge I read Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. It is a series of letters from a father to his son, knowing that he had his son late in life and will not be there for much of his son's life. It was dense, thoughtful and rich with prose. Not the easiest book I've ever read but very rewarding in the end!

Melissa, I read Gilead a few years ago. It was worth the effort of reading as you realize the love he has for his wife and son.

I finished Red, White & Royal Blue for this one and it was so totally cute!

I read Love in Every Bite: The Secret to Cooking Healthy Recipes with Positive Energy while hubby was in the hospital a couple days.
