I still need to read it but will get to it soon. I got side-tracked by Pachinko. Jenny, any interest in joining Trisha and me in a buddy read for Pachinko?
I think she just started today and I started last night. I'm going to force myself to take a break to make progress in my NG book!
For this challenge I read Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. It is a series of letters from a father to his son, knowing that he had his son late in life and will not be there for much of his son's life. It was dense, thoughtful and rich with prose. Not the easiest book I've ever read but very rewarding in the end!
Melissa, I read Gilead a few years ago. It was worth the effort of reading as you realize the love he has for his wife and son.
I read Love in Every Bite: The Secret to Cooking Healthy Recipes with Positive Energy while hubby was in the hospital a couple days.
