Your task this month is to read at least 1 book that WON a book award in February. Any year ... as long as the award was presented in February. What will you read.

To get you started, here are a few awards that have been presented in February:

* American Library Association Youth Media Awards 2018 awards were presented on Feb. 19. 2018.

* The 2018 Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction were presented on Feb. 11, 2018.
+++ The ALA awards skip around between January and February depending on the year - so be careful which year you choose! +++

* The 2019 PEN America Literary Awards were presented on Feb. 26, 2019. The awards are usually presented every February.

* Comment below with the book you're reading for the challenge, the name of the award it won and the date it was presented. Mark it CHALLENGE COMPLETE if you've read the book.

That works! I accidentally deleted the question - but the Spoken Word Awards from the Grammy absolutely works.

I just got All Systems Red from library hold. It won a 2018 Alex Award - announced Feb. 15, 2018.

This book actually works for all 3 challenges! Yay.

Traci (scraptraci) | 45 comments I read Lab Girl Lab Girl by Hope Jahren by Hope Jahren in Feb. The book won the AAAS Subaru science award in 2017 awarded on 2/1/17

I enjoyed the book a lot. Jahren does a wonderful job mixing stories and science in an enjoyable and understandable way.

My full review blog post about it can be found here
