I think I'm going to try The Overstory by Richard Powers.

I finished mine. I chose

Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders

(Edgar Award for Best Fact Crime 1975)

Changed up the book and finished The Underground railroad by Colson Whitehead.
