Back in 2009, Relentless was a new release and the reason I joined Goodreads becasue I needed like-minded people to discuss the writing of Dean Koontz with. Around this time I also enjoyed reading Dead and Alive (Frankenstein, #3) where I met Jocko and A Big Little Life: A Memoir of a Joyful Dog. All these were new releases in 2009.

Since then, I've re-read Relentless many times and still find it an enjoyable thrill ride. I didn't realize the novel would be so controversial. In Relentless, Dean mentions Amazon book reviews and introduces readers to a book critic villain with sinister intentions. In response came critical book reviews for Relentless. It is always interesting to see how books affect different people.

This is a fairly short novel for the shortest month of the year. I hope you'll consider reading or revisiting Relentless with us.

Happy Reading Koontzlanders!

Yes. Sometimes I take on too many books at once - like right now :-)

Karen B. (raggedy11) | 884 comments Oh I do that too. Right now I have two on my Fire - an audio book and a Kindle book that I am reading (not counting the ones shelved there); a hardback, and an audio book on my Fire that I keep by my bed. Actively reading all four books

I'm "currently reading" eleven books, about seven of them actively :-)

Willa | 25 comments Dustin and Karen B, You two made me smile. I feel a little eccentric when I have four going like you, Karen. Not any more. But seven actively reading! Dustin, really? LOL. I love it.

K.L. Phelps (kl_phelps) | 72 comments Okay so I snagged my copy off the shelf tonight and started reading, only the first two chapters so far, but I have to say I am loving it so far. I must say I haven't re-read this one since it originally released ( what is that 10+ years?) so it feels completely new to me. Strange how memory works. Some books I love and re-read often. Some books I have memories of loving and yet never read again. Also strange is the fact that I can remember things from my childhood 40+ years ago and yet often have trouble remember things from a week ago, lol.

Now speaking about reading multiple books at once. I used to do that all the time. Well, to be honest I still do, but usually it's two or three, but I can remember on more than one occasion reading nearly 10 books at once...and when I say at once, I mean almost just that. I would lie down on the sofa in the basement or living room with a stack of books, read a chapter, switch books, read a chapter, switch books...repeat until back to the original book and then start again.

Tracy | 528 comments This is one of my favorites. I believe I will read again as well.

Susan Beamon (susanbeamon) | 71 comments Finished this one on the 28th, just before the end of the month. I must say, I enjoyed it. Milo was a little strange, but his parents treated him like he was a normal boy. It might be interesting if Dean went back and wrote a book about Milo grown up.
