April's motif is Classics or Currents. "Read a book published before the year you were born (classic-ish) OR a book published between April 2019 and April 2020 (current.)"

Let us know in the comments what you plan to read. Remember- Original publication date is the key here.

Mark it CHALLENGE COMPLETE if you've read the book.

Here are a few CURRENT books we recommend:

Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane Ninth House (Alex Stern, #1) by Leigh Bardugo The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston The Red Scrolls of Magic (The Eldest Curses #1) by Cassandra Clare

Stacey (annadevika) I've never read a Sherlock Holmes novel, so I was thinking to read one for April's motif. Maybe The Hound of the Baskervilles... Definitely published before I was born.

This is my pick for a "Classic" read, had to go back a ways to find one older than me. ;) Have pretty much all of the Agatha Christie books thanks to my mom, so just had to pick one. Original copyright is 1939. Older than needed, but it will work.

Cecil Huston | 235 comments Wait, is this month based on publishing date? Or copyright date?

Never mind, I looked it up here on Goodreads and it was originally published in 1947. So we're good! :)
(The issue I have was published in 1982 by Dell.)
