The author portrayed the point of view of both female and male really well. The separation of three parts shows the different types of views of a character. In part 1 the points of views are from every character, part 2 dealt more with the point of vie of Robbie and part 3 was more of Briony's point of view. The different points of views showed how much each character changed and the author let you see all the emotions that everyone was going through. It was very unique that he had so many different points in this book, he showed a love story, a crime, war, death, gender role and social class. McEwan definitely showed how challenges can make your mindset grow. The addition of Briony writing the story of her life, the story she wrote is "Atonement" I found that really unique that an author would do that.
